when my friend is telling me something online, sometimes i will just be like, "alrightty" or "kay". i dont do it alot, either. then she thinks i'm mad or annoyed, when im not. there's just nothing else to say. what should i do? i tell her im not mad but i dont thinks she believes me.
kellyy answered Wednesday August 16 2006, 1:04 am: well its because you are talking on the computer and she cant tell by the sound of your voice.. its just you typing... thats whats wrong with MSN, Yahoo, AOL whatever... they cause too many fights between people... they should just learn to talk face to face... for your situation.. just try and type different words to make it seem like you are interested... simple enough [ kellyy's advice column | Ask kellyy A Question ]
holahayley56 answered Tuesday August 15 2006, 6:51 pm: OMG! i hate that. like sometimes, i just dont feel like talking. & my friends tottaly freak out on me. i dont think theres not much you can do, besides just not saying.. & be like "lol sweet" or somethingg. & if she doesnt believe you, that yerr not mad.. then oh well. yano?
orphans answered Tuesday August 15 2006, 6:35 pm: well i could see how she gets annoyed, but its wayyy over reacting.
when you say things like alrighty of k, its kind of ending a conversation.
if you say that, you should think of something else to say, be like kay, anyways you will never believe who i saw at the mall eysterday or something [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
abercrombie_blonde answered Tuesday August 15 2006, 6:03 pm: eeek, I hate when this happens. but yeah, what I do is, add the occasionaly smiley :) or tongue sticking out face :P. or sometimes add like an exclamation mark, that might help. umm, definitely try to avoid adding extra periods. that sometimes sends the wrong impression "kay...." so yeah, hope I helped. good luck :).

curliecue answered Tuesday August 15 2006, 5:37 pm: Tell her you're not mad at all, and then change the subject. Or if there is absolutely NOTHING to say to her, just say "alrighty or Kay" and add a smiley face next to it so that it adds the impression that you are not mad.
