I always had straight hair...or that's what I thought. Since I was little I always had hair long as my butt and it's been straight or well that's what I thought.
When I decided not to take a bit off but cut until my chest area...I realised I really needed a straightener and so I bought one the same day!!! I had no advice on it and when I got home it worked but it took atleast 1 and 1/2 hours to finish and that's something I'm not willing to take. My hair is thick and still longish but I want to cut it a bit and in steps.
I'm not sure if I will cut it though but I need to buy a new straightener and that's a fact...cause I'm on vacation right now and my hair is a mess w/o my old hot iron. Please tell me a good type that will be fairly cheap. Around $100 CND-$ 100 US.
Something professional maybe with a ceramic heating plate?

My straightener is so good. like it's my favourite ever. you know how some straighteners leave your hair feeling dry? this one doesn't at all, it makes it feel like soft and makes it shiny.
It's a global beauty ceramic straightener. Me and some of my close friends all have it because it's so good. It's kind of pricey, but it's definitely worth the investment. and hopefully you can find it on sale somewhere or something.

okay, so I'm in love with Leguna Beach, but I'm from Canada, and I heard that they show like seasons earlier in the states. Like, apparently people in america, are watching the third season right now? Is this true? and if so, I'm soo jealous :p. Thanks for letting me know:).

awww, yeah they get to watch it earlier then us canadians :( don't worry I'm jealous too. :P season 3 premieres on september 6th :), well for my atleast. (ontario) I'm pretty stoked :)

Hi,

I recently bought some clothes from the Hollister at my mall. I am a 17 year old boy and think the clothes are nice.

When I got home and showed my 13 year old brother the clothes I got (a polo and a sweatshirt) he started screaming at me and said that only posers and gays were Hollister.

I know quite a few people don't like Hollister and quite a few people do.

I am wondering what people think of boys who wear Hollister?

when my friend is telling me something online, sometimes i will just be like, "alrightty" or "kay". i dont do it alot, either. then she thinks i'm mad or annoyed, when im not. there's just nothing else to say. what should i do? i tell her im not mad but i dont thinks she believes me.

eeek, I hate when this happens. but yeah, what I do is, add the occasionaly smiley :) or tongue sticking out face :P. or sometimes add like an exclamation mark, that might help. umm, definitely try to avoid adding extra periods. that sometimes sends the wrong impression "kay...." so yeah, hope I helped. good luck :).

my birthday's coming up in 2 weeks. i know its kinda late to think about this, but i have no idea what im gonna do. i might just not do anyhting, but i kinda would like to do something with some of my close friends. any ideas?

hmmm, you could always just go out for dinner with some of your closest friends. or go see a movie.
you could always keep it low-key, and rent some movies, order pizza, and have a good time.

don't worry about that, everyone pretty much has one of those :) lol. I don't think you can get rid of it, unless you take drastic measures, like lipo, but obviously not lol. but yeah, it's normal, no worries. :) hope this helped.. a bit. haha.

17 years old/female.. so this may be kind of long but, I'll try to give you the briefest version.. so there's this guy, let's call him jay. and so like a month ago me and jay spent a lot of time together, and we ended up making out and such. and like we still talked and everything, and saw eachother on weekends, but nothing seemed to progress from that, like we were just friends, but my friends and including myself thought he was totally into me, since I was like kind of into him. well, we stopped talking for a couple of weeks at the beginning of the summer, so I ended up making out with this other guy, lets call him mike, when I was drunk the one night. it didn't mean anything, just an innocent make out, and I still talk to mike, as friends. well like two weeks after that, I ended up seeing jay at a party, and I starting like him again. and since I drank a little too much, I told his best friend, and his other friends, that I really like him and such. well the next night I threw a party, and he ended up coming with his best friend. and everything was going great, we were flirting like usual, and we ended up outside me and him making out again, and I guess my friend had a bit too much too drink, and came outside, and bluntly stated that I had made out with mike. well jay totally flipped and was like "get the f*** off of me" so I was like got off, but was like what's wrong blah blah blah. and he just got so mad and like wouldn't talk to me, so I started drinking with his best friend, and got a little drunk, so started flirting with his friend cody, just to make him jealous. (yeah I know it's not cool that I used his friend, but his friend was totally into it, so whatever.) so jay just got more mad, so my bestfriend talked to him, and was like whats wrong? and he's like nothing, and she's like well like why'd you get mad? do you like her or something? and he's all like I don't know I'm confused. so I started telling him I hate him and such, while holding onto his friend cody, so he ended up getting so mad, and leaving, and told his friend "to go for the gold" (aka get some action)which is so mean, but I know he was just super mad. and like I'm just totally confused, and it's been a week since this happend, and I have no idea what to do. like do I talk to him? and apologize for being a jerk? or do I wait til I see him, which will probably be on this weekend, and talk to him in person? I just don't know what to do. and does it not seem like he likes me, like if he got that mad just because I kissed again, when we weren;t even dating, let alone talking:S? please help :):) thanks in advance.

eeek, you definitely screwed up hun :(. but like, if you are really into this "jay" guy, then you should definitely talk to him, preferably in person. apologize to him x 1000, and ask him why he got soo mad, hopefully it all works out. explain to him that mike was just a mistake, and you were drunk and it didn't mean anything. and about the cody guy, you should prob explain you were just trying to make Jay jealous, even though he prob knows. well good luck, hope I helped a bit :). keep me updated, I have my fingers crossed:P.

Alright, well there is this one guy that I've been hanging out with, but basically we're only friends so far. Everyone says that he likes me, and I like him, but I'm not sure about his feelings.

I'm not sure if I should make the first move and ask him out, or wait a little longer and see if he does?

okay, so I think you should not so much ask him out yet, but definitely flirt with him, and totally hint at the fact that you like him, and see how he responds. and if he sends a positive vibe, then maybe it's time you should tell him how you feel, and see where things go from there. good luck :).

I'm going to buy a solia hair straightener...
and my hair is ehh medium length....http://i1.tinypic.com/245avld.jpg......that's me and my hair.
Well, what I need help with is I'm going to buy either a 1 1/2 inch solia...or a 1 inch...and a 1/2 inch IS a big difference when you're straightening your hair...I want to know what you think I should get becuase...if It's too thick then I can't reach the little areas of my hair I need to get to...and if it's too thin it will take me twice as long to straighten...+ the 1 inch one is pink :] LOL. Well...help? :] thanks

I definitely think you should go with the 1 inch hair straightener.It's exactly what you said, it will be a lot easier to get to the little areas of hair. plus, I find the 1" straighteners, easier to use. and as for time, It really shouldn't take you much longer, and could potentially be a lot easier. but that's just my opinion. have fun with it. and good luck with your hair:)

There is this one kid from my school who is going to the same high school as I am and I want to give him a chance there but we kind of had a rough end to our 8th grade year and he really hurt me. I still kind of like him, do you think a relationship in hs is worth it or should i move on?

you should talk to him, and see how he feels on the situation, and if you feel like he has changed and is worthy of your time, then yeah it could be a potentially good Idea to see how things progress with you guys in highschool. if not, then it doesn't hurt to have one extra friend when starting highschool. Remember that there are so many new guys you'll meet in highschool. so it might be a good idea, to hold off on the relatioship thing with this guy, to see if there are any new love interests you meet. good luck with him, and everhting. have fun with it.:)

ok so a couple of weeks ago i was at the movies with a couple of friends. one of which i really like. so we started making out and "feeling" on each other. then he undid my belt and i sort of kicked him. and he was like "oh sorry is that too far?" and i said i dunno. so he
re-did my belt (it was the cutest thing ever) and we proceded with the "kissing and feeling". im 14. so my question is...should i have let him into my pants and such?

you definitely did the right thing. Clearly you weren't comfortable with what was going on, or weren't ready. so you're instincts were totally right. If the guy is totally into you, then he won't care if you didn't let him go down your pants, and he'll wait til you feel ready, whenever that is. OK so ever since i haev been little everyone has told me that i'm as skinny as a twig... i wasn't really, i have just had a dancer's body! and i loved it... well lets just say that i have put on some weight.. not that much, but it still bugs me! i work out every week, yet i still have fat!! and it makes my confidence go way down!! what can i do?? plez help me!

you sound like you're off to a good start with the working out. I don't know you're eating habits, but definitely choose healthy foods, and drink water vs. soda and such. But to me it sounds like you have a nice body, and shouldn't worry so much about it. As long as you feel beautiful on the inside, don't worry about the outside, you should be grateful you're healthy and fit. take it easy.

Pretty looks are definitely a good start! try giving him a nice sweet smile, and if he responds well with a mutual smile, or something like that, then you should walk up to him, and start up a convo. if everything goes as planned, you should definitely give him your phone number, that way you guys can get to know eachother a lot better. good luck with him, and everything.

well, theres this one guy named James and i have liked him for a while but nothing serious because i barely know him. once i talked to him but it was kind of a while ago. well school is starting and i found out from one my friends that him and i have a class together this year. i'm really excited but how do i get us to start talking?

The easiest way to start talking to him, is to find a mutual friend to either re-introduce you or put in a good word for you. if that's not possible. then the easiest way is to just say hey. or get his email and start chatting with him, and then by school time, you'll atleast know eachother a bit more. But if you can't get his email, and you have to wait til you two have a class together, then find a mutual subject you both can talk about. like "wow, I can't believe we have a test in this class already" or simply try to get a desk as close to him as possible. Start off as friends, and see how things progress from there. try to find out things he's interested so you can have a solid ground to spark up a conversation with him.
