Thes best straightener for the challenge I always had straight hair...or that's what I thought. Since I was little I always had hair long as my butt and it's been straight or well that's what I thought.
When I decided not to take a bit off but cut until my chest area...I realised I really needed a straightener and so I bought one the same day!!! I had no advice on it and when I got home it worked but it took atleast 1 and 1/2 hours to finish and that's something I'm not willing to take. My hair is thick and still longish but I want to cut it a bit and in steps.
I'm not sure if I will cut it though but I need to buy a new straightener and that's a fact...cause I'm on vacation right now and my hair is a mess w/o my old hot iron. Please tell me a good type that will be fairly cheap. Around $100 CND-$ 100 US.
Something professional maybe with a ceramic heating plate?

My straightener is so good. like it's my favourite ever. you know how some straighteners leave your hair feeling dry? this one doesn't at all, it makes it feel like soft and makes it shiny.
It's a global beauty ceramic straightener. Me and some of my close friends all have it because it's so good. It's kind of pricey, but it's definitely worth the investment. and hopefully you can find it on sale somewhere or something.

I recommend either a CHI or Paul Mitchell. They're both great. I think they're around $100. Here's a tip for straightening your hair. Leave the bottom layer down and clip the top layers onto your head. Then straighten the bottom layer and release a little more hair from the clip to straighten. Continue until your whole head is straight. Doing this reduces ridges in your hair. Good luck! ]
I don't know how you are straighting you hair, but the best way to cut time at least in half is to do it in layors. Start at the bottom of your head, and pony-tail the rest. than do the next layor. The thicker the layors, the longer it takes. If you have thick hair it will still take some time, because of the frizz issue. I fould that bying a professional straighter doesnt mean that it will work better. The best ones are the ones that dont have plastic, but metal iron.
You may need a straightener now because, you dont have the excess weight pulling down on you hair.
hope i helped.

The best straighteners are Ceremic thin ones. Personally I have the "Rimmington Wet 2 Dry" straightener and it works fine, but I have the wide one and I know for a fact that the thin one works better. If there is a "Sally's Beauty Supplies" near where you live; get one there. If not you can just go to a local salon and ask them about straighteners and where to get one.
Hope I helped! ]
i use Revlon. my hair is thick & curly & it straightens it really well. it was cheaper than $100. here's a website-
