StarryNightSkies answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 6:27 pm: these are things i do... put cold milk on it and then wash it off with an ice cube... next take a hair comb and in an down motion go over the hickey.. that will all lighten the hickey... nex put some good cover up ( i like to use Maybelline new york dream matte mousse) and since you are going in the pool or something try putting the voer up on and then use a water proof hair spray... face spray (like model in a bottle) or clear nail polish... the nail polish tends to give it a shiny look so you could then put a baby powder over the nail polish and rub it in. UHOHxOMFG answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 11:48 am: haha i just had the same probably. get a comb and comb your hickey slowly & gentle for about a minute. then put some ice on it to make the blood flow quicker. after you've done that put a lot of cover up on. if you can still see it put one of those colored chockers that everyone is wearing now. if anyone asked say its a bruise from some sport you do or from an animal. mine too about 3-4 days to go away but they can usually last from 2days - 1week. combing it definitly speeds up the process. hope everything works outtt. :] [ UHOHxOMFG's advice column | Ask UHOHxOMFG A Question ]
thelaura answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 8:44 am: Weird ways which do work:
Freeze a spoon for a few minutes and place it over the hickey.
Get a hairbrush and brush it over the hickey. It helps the bloodflow, therefore making it return to natural colour. :)
Also try an ice pack with a thin towel wrapped around, or if you have long hair, wear it down! Eating healthily makes your body recover quicker (seeing as a hickey is a bruise) or wear accessories such as a scarf..
It should be fading in a few days, so don't worry too much! [ thelaura's advice column | Ask thelaura A Question ]

orphans answered Wednesday August 9 2006, 12:33 am: Yuckkk.. my boyfriend and I had hickies last week. Kinda embarassing, right? His was HUUGE and it went away in like 4 days. And mine, I used liquid AND powder Covergirl foundation. You can try using ice. I'm not sure how well that will work, but I've heard from people that it does. Good luck! :) [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
