Skinny Jeans.

Question Posted Monday August 7 2006, 10:34 pm

I'm aware that the new style is now 'skinny' jeans, but I think they are absolutely hideous. I refuse to wear them. My question is will I stick out in school this year? It seems like lots of people are switching to skinny jeans, and I'm sticking with my flares. Just tell me that truth, I need to know. Are flares still okay or is it all about skinny?

stick with what you like. you shouldnt waste your money on something that you absolutely hate because everyone else likes them.

You don't have to buy skinny jeans if you don't like how they look. What I reccomend is buying flare leg jeans whenever you can find them. Fads like this go in and out. You should just wear whatever you feel comfortable in and not worry about what everyone else is wearing or not wearing. Skinny jeans DO NOT look good on anyone who has even the slightest bit of extra weight on them, which means that most people probably won't buy them.

If you're wearing what other people aren't, it'll make you stand out way more. I'm okay with what's "in" these season but I don't know how I feel about skinny jeans either.

I WOULd say just wear what you want. if you like your flares then wear them and not everybody is going to wear skinny jeans think about the overweight people. and it also might be hard to find flare so maybe try bootleg and different styles you don't have to stick to one style!!!!

I agree with you, I hate those jeans. Not to mention how they make your feet and ankles look. You probably won't stick out, because fat people can't wear skinny jeans, just because that would look gross. I don't think you will stick out unless the whole population starts wearing them. Yes, flares are still okay. I see a lot of people around here still wearing them. The only problem you might have is finding somewhere to buy them. =]

Not everything thats the latest fad is always good.Like for example 2 peice bikinis are popular nowadays and youre overweight like hell, would you wear them or save yourself the embarassment?Just wear what you like and what ooks good on you.Its better to look different than everyone. Its just annoying in my opinion to wear what everyones eles wears.Flares are still cool.I actually prefer flares too and i think skinny jeans are annoying too, flares are a lot cooler.

Every body has his own style and way of dressing, some people like to go with the new style, and some like to stick to their old usual ones. And who cares what you are wearing? Its not like they will keep pointing at you and laughing their heads off for wearing something just a year ago, they used to be wearing too.
So you should have some self confidence and always do what you like and what you see is best for you, and you shouldn't care what other people think of you.
Goodluck:)

well if you don't have to.
cause at my school
well i where what ever i feel like as long
as the dress code agrees
besides it's not like people should be
looking at your but anyway.
and if they say any thing about it.
you can make them really mad or embarrased
but saying like

"why were you looking"
or

do you enjoy taking intrists in peoples buts
i mean you have an ass just like it.

you shoudnt care about what is in style or not in style if you like the flare on your jeans then you like them. just because some people are switching from flare to skinny doesnt mean that you have to. anyways not everyone is going to like the new skinny so dont worry about fitting in or not. and also i agree with you the new skinny jeans are hideous.;)
