just go up to your dad and ask him for money for bras.
then ask him to drive you and a friend to a store like victorias secret, while he looks around in the rest of the mall.
yes,3 bras is fine.
if you need to figure out what size you are,ask them to measure you,and dont be embarrassed they work with bras for a living.lol.
ive had it done and its not bad at all.
then tell them what you are looking for and they will help you find the perfect match.
if you dont wanna have them measure you,go to www.jcpenney.com and go to the bra section there is instructions on how to measure yourself.
good luck.=D

Dad's are always there for you!!! The thing is, when it comes to woman-hood, you just can't ask them because you know...different gender and I'm not sure they've ever went shopping for themselves for bras, lol.

I want to be there for you...all the way.
I'll also try to answer every question for you.
And if you need any more help and you like my advice, FEEL FREE and don't be embarrassed.

Here's a site how to measure for the right size. (article)
[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

Have you ever gotten a bra before? If you are asking everyone, you are probably needing it badly.
Okay...
How old are you anyways?
The best limit of bras is at least 5 if you are at least 15+
If you are younger, it's best to have maybe 3 or 4. Sometimes, girls like to wear one (clean) every day. There's no limit how much you need...just your budget and what your dad agrees to pay on.
Here's some ideas to get you going to buy some bras.
1. Ask your dad for some money for "Girl Stuff." He should totally understand!
2. When you are shopping, ask your dad if you can go to the lingerie...he should know what it means.
3. Ask your dad if he can drop you off and you can go buy your own bras and go try them on yourself without any dad there.
4. If you have an older sibling that's a girl, ask her to go take you; don't be embarrassed because they need it too.
5. Someone you trust, like an aunt (female though) would maybe take you!

Okay. Now, ask me advice with these questions answered and I can help you more.

1. How old are you?
2. How developed are you?
3. What size do you THINK you are.

After you do it, I can help you find the right bra(s) and the good ones you should choose!

You could try out this website;
[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

I know if you go into Limited Too there's like a tape measure in the dressing room & it gives you instructions to figure out what size you are.

If you go with your dad, just tell your dad you can figure it out by yourself, and look around for one while he goes and looks around for stuff for himself. It shouldn't be too bad. You could ask him for money ahead of time & you can check out yourself.

I hope I helped :]

I know it can be embarressing, but you can go to any department store and get mesured. Just ask your dad to take you to the store and if you two arn't comfy with going through the process together, ask him to do something he likes, such as look at tools, while you are getting fitted and the sales lady will help you pick the right one.

Shopping with a girl friend would work well if you dont have like an aunt or older sister near by, if your dad wont let you go to the mall alone, ask if he can take you, but let you go in a STORE alone...
if he still says no, just talk to him in private and just be like "i am growing up, and i need some undergarments that i dont want to get with you, im sorry, but it's a girl thing"

I like victoria secret, honestly because you can get sized there. I dont know if other stores do it for sure, but they might.
Kohls, JCPenny's and Macy's all have nice things, any department stores.

To find what size you are, if in a department store, just go up to a sales women in the bra department and simply ask if they do bra sizing here. Its just a few measurements with a tape measure.

They defiantly do it at Victoria Secret, just go up and ask. It might be slightly embarssing, but i mean, they're women, they get it!

Good luck!

Jemma answered Sunday August 27 2006, 3:45 pm:
Well they do great underwear in marks and Spencer’s, and they will measure you and help you find the type of bra you need.

As for how many that depends on your wardrobe. if you have strapless and halter neck tops then i would recommend having a multi task bra. push up bras are always great to have to give you that extra boost if you want to impress or just feel bigger. Having at least one black and one white bra is recommendable because a black top doesn’t look as good with a white bra. cupped are always better and having enough to change your bra every 2 days max would be good. As for shopping with your dad he could give you the money and go get a coffee while you get on with it.

hope i helped love jem xxxxx

Don't be embarassed about telling your dad that you need some bras. Ask him to give you some money then go with a friend, or if possible an older woman who is friends with your family - if you feel comfortable you can even ask her to talk to your dad about bras for you.

Most lingerie shops offer a bra fitting service so that you can find out what size you are. Getting measured is no problem whatsoever, you don't have to take your top off if you don't want to and all that the person fitting you will do is measure under your breasts and again at the fullest part of them.

If you want sports bras then get one of both types that you mentioned and also get about two regular bras.

Just thought I would put my two penny's worth in here.

It is absoloutely vital, especially when purchasing your first bra, that you get measured because having the correct size is the most important thing when it comes to bras. Having a poorly fitting bra can lead to a lot of problems so the best thing you can do is get yourself to a professional who will measure you. There will be plenty of lingerie and underwear shops around your local area and almost every shop of this kind offers a free fitting service these days.

Don't worry, it doesn't mean you have to strip off completely. All they do is use a flexible tape measure to take your size under your bust line and then across the middle and you can stay fully clothed while they do it. After this, they will be able to advise you what sort of bra size you need to buy and will quite possibly be able to offer you guidance as to what sort will be best for you.

As far as different kinds, you don't need to have loads, especially if you are still growing. If you are still growing through puberty, it is worth bearing in mind your breasts will probably continue to grow until you are around 19-20 years old and during this time, you will find yourself needing to buy new bras every 6-12months, depending on how quickly you grow. Don't go overboard yet. Go for at least one 't-shirt bra', as this qill be suitable for wearing with plain tops without showing any patterns through. Also, if you play a lot of sports, it is adviseable to have a sports bra. Personally, I would recommend those two and then one which can be used for most occasions. Three or four should be enough, as you don't want to put them in the wash and realise you have none left.

On that note, it is usually best to purchase underwired bras, although you must bear in mind most underwired bras should be handwashed, to prevent them from going lumpy or the wire from poking out through the material.

Hope that helps. If you need any further advice, feel free to send me a message.

if you don't have money of your own and can't get money from your dad to go buy your own bras, try asking an aunt or older cousin to take you bra shopping.

Try this link [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

The advice about going to JCPenney is good...the ladies there will certainly help you. Perhaps you can tell your Dad that you need to go shopping for "girl stuff" and would be embarassed if he was in that department with you. If he won't leave you in the store alone, at least he might go to another department while you shop for these "personal items".
