high school.... is it THAT bad?
next year i'm going into high school. I was totally psyched when i finally relized that this was my last year of boring old middle school and in high school I can pick my own classes. But earlier today a friend said her big sister was in highschool and she said it was terrible. They stuff the samller kids in trash cans and put books on the lids to make sure they don't get out. And they prank all the new kids by throwing eggs and water ballons at them. Is/was your hs that bad??????? thanks in advance.

That's probably only her school. I didn't go to highschool yet either but I went to summer school for 2 months and 4 hours a day. They didn't do any of that. They just spent time with their cliques that's all. By the way I go to a public school.

i read your additional info and everything and i know i won't get rated, but i just wanted to add that at my high school (i'm a freshman "fish", as they call us) most of the mean upperclassmen don't talk to the freshmen, and the nice ones talk to us and are friends with us. when the mean upperclassmen talk to us, the nice upperclassmen stick up for us. but most of the time i just tell the upperclassmen to shove it because they're joking anyway. anyway, good luck and have fun :)

What's up? Im Kathyne "Kat" for short and from my experience im not really to sure ill be a freshman next year but my advice to you is to keep your head up high and show people that okay im a FRESHMAN but im not going to get pushed around and treated like CRAP I hope that my advice works for you. Hello.
I do not know what High School your friend's sister goes to, but it is not like the high schools I know. In fact, many upper classmen really could care less about freshmen, and when I was a freshman, I became friends with upper classmen.
It's not like you have to talk to the kids older than you all the time, but realistically, I have never seen such hazing in the school.
High School has so many new things offerred in it and it is some of the best years in people's lives!

of course your always going to have the bullies and yeah some of the upperclassmen can be stuck up but really highschool isnt that bad. Just dont try to get to freindly with upperclassmen, they might not like it. You really shouldnt have to worry abotu any thing.
just get ready for the next 4 years...they go by fast and you will learn to love them.

hey high school is kind of like starting middle school, actually. i can still remember all those rumors about how all the nasty eighth graders chased the sixth graders down the hall and then put them in lockers. yeah, right! i'm sure you can remember the sixth grade blues as well as the rest of us. but last year was my year as a freshman, and i was worried just like you. i'm sure what your friend [but probably her sister] said wasn't exactly true, and it was a bad rumor. i've never seen a freshman in a garbage can! and it's not so bad. if you can remember what it was like to be a lowly sixth grader or a kindergardner, you've already changed schools a few times and it's all the same. if you need any more help just drop one in my inbox! hope i could help you and good luck!

That was probably just a big rumour. Last year was my first year of high school and I was worried about all of taht, especially because I have what you could call a very gang type school. Anyways, I was glad to see that all the rumours were false. The lockers weren't even big enough to fit in, and administration woudn't let anyone throw eggs or water balloons at anyone, so don't worry about that. And if your still worried just hang out with some friends and that way they can back you up if anything (which is unlikely, so don't get this the wrong way) happens. Goodluck at highschool.

nope!! no way will it be like that. when i was ready to go to high school there were so many romers about having your head flushed down the toilet and being "treed" which is very painful for a boy...think about it!! i was totaly scared still to go!!! but its not like that its just people tring to scare you and they did me!! but nope it will be fine trust me :-) xx
