I am going into 8th grade...but ih ave the same problem. Just be yourself around guys. Just start by saying hi to your crush/guy friends in the hallway, and if a guy that is friendly is standing in teh hallway after school/at lunch, say hi and ask him something about a certain teacher....ask him about the homework you two had if you are in a class together.....it can be nerveracking at first.....but if you concentrate on getting less shy with a couple guys at a time, it will get easier!! Also, strike up similar conversations with guys who have lockers next/near to yours!!!
HOpe i helped...

Don't be shy there isn't a reason to be. Just be like hey what up and start it from there. Also you can just flirt too that helps.♥

When you plan topics to say, they never happen or come out the way you wanted them to, so all you have to do is say hey wats up and just go with the flow.

Talk about whatever you would talk about with your best friend. Your favorite TV show, a big test coming up, what teachers you have, things like that.

Don't try to seek out guys to have conversations with, it will {for the most part) get you nowhere. If you're assigned to sit next to a guy on the first day, start talking to him! There's nothing you can really do to go wrong.

You'll know if they want to talk back if they look directly at you, or better yet, look into your eyes. If they look right at you, you know you've found good friend material. If they look in your eyes, you've definitely got a potential guy BFF there, or maybe even a potential boyfriend!

If the conversation runs dry, try to think of another topic. If THAT runs dry, you might want to find yourself another guy to talk to, because that dude obviously isn't much of a conversationalist.

I was just like that when I first went into highschool too.You usually overcome that fear.I find the best way to strike up a conversation is in class. And the best way is at the beginning of the year.New people, new friends, new guys. They dont know you, you dont know them. They dont know that your shy.Ask for help on something and then start to get into a conversation.Or if you have to go into groups, just ask a guy to be in your group.I always find that easy. :

good luck
hope everything goes well

SDC answered Friday August 4 2006, 3:35 pm:
most commenly ask them what they did this summer.if there knew ask them what school did they used to go to.or what kind of music do you like to listen to. the first thing you should say is hi im (blank) whats your name? so your knew here? what school did you cme from? well how do you lke are school so far?then jus start informing him on students ad teachers because every new student lkes to be informed. this way youll make a new guy friend and hopefully later turn into something more but you hav to be patient esspicially with guys. you dont want to rush into anythng huge because its has a 90% chance of not doing very well.well hope this helps and good luck!!!and remember confedence is the key!!! TWEETY

You could start out with meeting guys that you like, but would never go out with. It's always good to have guy friends to give you advice about meeting guys. trust me, having guy friends can be more useful than having girlfriends. good luck(-:
