although some acually do use models. Some make clothes just to fit a certain person like a one of a kind sort of. Those people they make it for aren't nec. the people that model it in the fashion show but they think that is the body that their outfit will look best on or whatever

What is used while they are being made is called a dress form (sometimes one word: dressform), so that is what you should look for it you are googling it.
