Ok first of all you can have a false positive on a home pregnancy test, the people telling you this is impossible are wrong. Secondly you can have your period during pregnancy it is not really really rare it happens more often then people know. Below is a website that should answer or provide links to the answers you need.

Also the only pregnancy test that can't be a false positive is the blood test your doctor gives you. I would suggest if you think you are pregnant that you start pre-natal care right away.

Well actually some women can still have their period while they are pregnant, but it's usually very unlikely. When you have a miscarriage, usually you have blood come out of you that period-like, but much heavier with many more clots. If you were pregnant and you started your period, try taking another pregnancy test. If it comes out positive, you & your baby are most likely fine. And if it comes out negative make sure to go to the doctor. Because with miscarriages, parts of the fetus can get left in the uterus causing serious infections.

Ok, here's the deal...

You CAN get a false positive on an at home pregnancy test. I know this for a fact. It is very rare, but it is possible. And you CAN bleed during pregnancy leading you to beleive it's your period.

Trust me on this one. I bled the first 5 months of my pregnancy. I assumed it was my period so I thought nothing of it. Then I ended up in the hospital because I blacked out and fainted. I had no clue I was pregnant! So there I was, in the hospital...finding out I was 5 MONTHS PREGNANT! He's 8 years old now and the best thing that's ever happened to me...but talk about a shocker!

If you lost a baby, you would know it. If these are the signs you are having...positive test and still getting your period...I would strongly suggest getting checked out.

Good luck!

For one thing a pregnancy test CAN'T go wrong it always gives a POSITIVE answer...
My friend was telling me about her auntie who still had her periods when she was pregnant, she said the doctor said that the reason for this was because the baby was light in her womb. I don't know if it was the truth or not but it does sound like it can happen.

there is absolutely NO way to get a false positive. A false negative is possible, but there is no way that the stick could get a false positive. The pregnancy test tests for a certain hormone. It's possible that there isn't enough of that hormone at the time, but if the tests picks up that hormone in your body, then it means you are pregnant, or were. If your bleeding you should see your doctor.

You should see your doctor even if you aren't bleeding and you have gotten a positive pregnancy test.

Pregnancy tests aren't always 100 percent positive, that's what a doctor's for. If you are getting your period though, you're not pregnant.
Hope this helps.

A pregnancy test can give you a false positive. It "calculates" the pregnancy hormone levels in your body and that's how it know wether to give a positive or negative on the test. Did you get your pregnancy verified by a doctor? No you don't have periods while your pregnant but you can bleed while your pregnant. Alot of ppl mis-carriage so early on in there pregnancy that they never even knew they were pregnant. The utereus empties itself like a HEAVY period. Other reasons for bleeding during pregnancy is a hormonial imbalance or other neurological problems. Hope this helps you better understand.
