There are foods that contain Glucosamene and Condroiton (probably not spelled right)that is what you need. Ask for it in the pet store. You can also get a food supplement to ad to the food that contains the same thing. Go to the vet if you havent already. Your dog could use a check up. He may need to loose some weight, and the vet may recommend some light excercise every day such as a short walk.

There are many foods for older dogs that are supposed to help these problems! ^-^ Arthritis is a big factor in older dogs. Your dog may just have some arthritis bothering him (or a weight problem, or both. but you didnt specify about a weight problem) I had a 15-year-old dog named Belle who had terrible arthritis from the time she was 8 till she died about 1 and a half years ago. She was on medication prescribed from the Vets office & we fed her some dog food the vet reccomended. So i guess that the main point of this entire paragraph is to suggest seeing a vet! n_n

first is if your dog is really old then he or she could have arthrites or however you spell it and second u should probably just check him out and bring him to the vet just to be on the safe side because i use to have a big dog that had the same problem with arthrites and he died i would say about a year to a year and a half later.

I would call a veteriarian in your area, and they can give you the best answer. It doesn't cost anything to call, and they should be able to give you advice depending on the age and breed of your dog. There are also many many prescription diets that you can get from your veterinarian, some which might help out with arthritis for older dogs.

well you can try going to petco and getting NutroMax which my friend uses for her old dog or you could ask a vet or the people at petco for the best thing.

I give my older dog with arthritis, and my younger dog with hip displaysia Nutro (I think it's NutroMax) Natural, small bites, lamb and rice with glucosomine and chondroitin. I get it at Petco. It seems to really help. Also when they are having a bad day I give them a canine aspirin, the vet can advise you on the dose.

hey, i have a dog who i turning 9 in a couple of months, he's a doberman. The vet's are so impressed with his behaviour, he still acts like a puppy, he is always hyper. He has been on natural products which we use ourselves. Its Aloe Vera. We are involved with a company called forever living products and my dog has a teaspoon of it in his food and honestly, that has helped him so much, his coat is amazing too. If you need some advice where to get hold of it, email me with your location and I can get hold of a distributor for you.
