x_woah_me answered Thursday July 27 2006, 4:32 pm: How much weight you will lose just depends on the person. There is no Average to how much weight will be lost. Just try it & see what happenes.

You can try flavored water. It`s yummy & it`s alot better for you then soda.

I stopped drinking soda and only drink it about once a month. I lost weight from that. When you stop though, you will want it & to stop that wanting most people tend to eat. Don`t do that.. try something else if you are DIEING for a soda.

How much weight is lost is totally up to the person, try it and see what happenes :]

FallOutGirlxO answered Thursday July 27 2006, 3:33 pm: If you are addicted to sugary drinks,
try vitamin water or flavored water.
They do not have sugar at all but they taste like it.
And to answer your other question.
You can't really lose weight by just not
drinking pop. Maybe you could lose about 3-6 lbs.
Excercise more and eat right, and you could lose
a lot more!
Tulipg17 answered Thursday July 27 2006, 2:45 pm: A lot. 3500 calories is one pound, sounds like a lot, right? It is. But, if you drink 3 sodas a day that is easily 500 calories. So, replacing them with diet or just drinking water instead would equal one pound lost every week. And you haven't even changed anything about your diet yet, or even started exercising. OiShmoi answered Thursday July 27 2006, 2:26 pm: I agree with the person that answered before me that there's no way for us to calculate how many pounds you'll lose. But, a few years ago I swore off pop for a year and after a while you don't even miss it. And I lost about 10 pounds just from that alone without cutting anything else out of my diet or becoming extemely active. [ OiShmoi's advice column | Ask OiShmoi A Question ]
Vikki27 answered Thursday July 27 2006, 2:21 pm: Unfortunately, this would be impossible to predict because weight loss is down to a number of other factors. For example, your metabolism, weight, height, age, activity levels and more can affect the speed of weight loss.
However, I do support the idea of not drinking fizzy drinks for a month. I know how hard it is to try to give up something you feel addicted to (I tried giving up chocolate and failed miserabley!!!!) so if you do decide to stop drinking it, make sure you have something else to drink/eat/do when the cravings kick in because if you're sat in front of the TV or shuffling your feet round anywhere, it will get very difficult!
