I have a biology test tomorrow. So much information will be covered on it. When you study, are you supposed to memorize everything, or are you just supposed to review notes until you're familiar with everything?

If you become familiar with it, it'll be much easier to remember. If it's possible, get flash cards & drill yourself over and over. I've noticed that if you're familiar with the subject & study the day of the test (within an hour before), it's much easier to recall everything. Don't overdo it by studying 3 hours the night before. After about 30-40 minutes, studying is actually found to be no use. [ hannahd's advice column | Ask hannahd A Question ]
pinkpatchgrl answered Saturday July 22 2006, 12:31 pm: Well if you're really stumped and don't know anything on the review, try memorizig what seems important. Ex- The stuff that you can relate other things to.Like if you can remember what makes up RNA, all you have to remember is one thing is different in DNA.
Make notes/map. You tend to remember things when you write them.
I used to struggle a ton in Biology, and I ended the year getting a 100. You just have to be devouted to doing good. Paying attention when the teacher is teaching and doing handouts is important to doing well on a test.
Hope this helps for later
DancinCutie08 answered Saturday July 22 2006, 12:11 pm: well you should just be reviewing them but on some things you really need to memorize.. like there are alot of things with classes and what not that need memorized. you ddint state exactly what you were studing so its hard to tell but you really need to be more than just familiar [ DancinCutie08's advice column | Ask DancinCutie08 A Question ]

clarayow answered Saturday July 22 2006, 9:53 am: Pick out the impt info you know will definitely come out. Come up with your own notes. In the process of coming up with your own notes, you'll be reviewing those topics as well. [ clarayow's advice column | Ask clarayow A Question ]
justxxaskxxme answered Saturday July 22 2006, 9:46 am: I had the same problem!! I didn't know how much to study. What I did was i took all the information and highlighted the info that I knew i would need and i studied that for like 1hr and a half. Then I took the stuff that I already knew and highlighted it in a different color. I reviewed that stuff for like 15 minutes and then I took the rest of the info and i studied it for like 45 minutes. Hope I helped!! Ashley ♥ ps. I got a 97 on my test [ justxxaskxxme's advice column | Ask justxxaskxxme A Question ]
orphans answered Saturday July 22 2006, 8:57 am: i dont think you need to memorize everything, but you most definently need to make sure your familiar with everything. theyre kind of the same thing, but memorizing is just takes longer than becoming familiar [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
