When I wore my bathingsuit today, I notice you could see some of my pubic hair when my bathingsuit was a little out of place. I have been thinking of shaving it, just like a little, where I need to, but I am scared due do bumps, and a rash or something. Can a razor shave off a long piece of hair? Should I even shave there?

sassysara answered Saturday July 15 2006, 10:35 pm: If you are going to shave there then make sure you use shaving cream this cuts down on the bumps and irritation especially if you use one with aloe in it. Also in order to make sure you shave where you need to I would suggest you wear either your underwear or you bathing suit. I also have found that the cheap disposable razors aren't good for shaving you bikini area I have found that the intuition or the venus. I really do recommend that you try using the veet or nair stuff it gives you the same look and feel of a wax without the pain and it tends to last longer then a shave. Again if you use that wear your underwear or bathing suit to avoid getting it in an uncomfortable place, both veet and nair have specific products for the bikini area.
Keosha answered Saturday July 15 2006, 10:07 pm: If and when you do shave you should always trim your hair if it is very long before you shave. Then directly after you shave put on bikini zone. Its a cream so you wont get razor bumps or irritations. Try it and if you dont like it you can always wax..but it hurts! [ Keosha's advice column | Ask Keosha A Question ]
orphans answered Saturday July 15 2006, 10:05 pm: you could shave there, nothing wrong with it, but its probably better to get it waxed or nair/veet. on tv, there was a commercial for bikini zone, which reduces bumps, so you could try that [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]
Mollysie answered Saturday July 15 2006, 9:08 pm: Well hmm. I had a similar problem, and I know it's kind of werid but shaving for me does cause bumps. But if you trim with sissors and than shave you should be fine. If you ever want to stop you can. I don't know if I would. Waxing is much better but much more painful. Good Luck!

orphans answered Saturday July 15 2006, 8:45 pm: You shouldn't shave there, it causes irritation such as bumps and itches a lot. You should get waxing strips or they also have wax and strips that come seperate but in the same package. You may have to trim the hair shorter because the strips might not get over the hair. I know thats really weird. Also, get Bikini Zone. Its like a lotion that you but on your bikini area so you have no bumps. Let me know if you need more help!
