BearShare or Limewire??
Which one is better? I'd like a decent response, so no one word answers or just saying the name. Say why. Also, which one is less likely to give you a virus. Thanks :D...

I use limewire. Although, it might have given my computer a virus. I'm not positive if limewire is the cause. Limewire does download songs fairly fast, but on certain songs it just wont download.
My friend has BearShare and she likes it, so I would just go with that. =]

i have limewire, and i dont really get many viruses from it. (only one, but ive downloaded like 200 songs, so 1/200=good statistics) anyways, yea limerwire has a lot of choice, but thats just my personal opinion

Oi, well I used limewire and it gave me spyware so now my computer is all messed up and yea, it's just one big mess. I've also heard bearshare gives you viruses as well so, I say stick to buying songs on iTunes and on birthdays and holidays, ask for iTunes gift cards. But if you're up for the risk if anything, use limewire. It works really well the only down part is after a long time of use, you end up like me--spyware infection.

Hey I have tried both and hated both mostly because I got viruses. I now use Morpheus it is free as well although you can upgrade to a paid membership and since I have been using it (over 3 months) I have gotten no viruses nor any spyware!

nononono dont get bearshare it gives you a virus. i heard that limewire works really good but when i had it, it gave me a virus =( but u can get limewire to see how it works, it might not give u a virus! good luck & hope i helped!

Bear Share you are sharing so many files, it would be REALLY likely for you to get a virus.
Programs with Limewire have been completely taking over people's computer. I had it but lately everyone I know with it's cpu is being taken over so I had to get rid of it before it did that to mine.
I personally would try Limewire over Bearshare though because of the virus's you can get.

I would say Limewire
I have never used bearshare but i have used limewire for several years now and i love it. I have never gotten a virus from it and i download songs very regularly. I've heard you can get viruses from the games on there but i only use the music.
as to answer the answer below me they are both illegal but they can only prosecute you if you share music and there is a way to stop from sharing on limewire to keep from getting "busted"

They are about the same, They both run on the gnetulla network so they have the same files. However, Limewire has a pro version which is really good. Plus limewire is the more popular one so it must be better. And with viruses, so long as you remain to just downloading music, no viruses should be encountered. I have limewrire, and I personally enjoy it. I am afraid opinions is all you can get on this, there are not too many facts on this question.
