if you get up in the middle of the night to change it its fine or if you sleep less than 8 hours at night its fine but if not NOO it can cause TSS(toxic shock syndrome) your best bet is to just wear a pad ]
I have the same problem sometimes, so I'll tell you what I do.
First, at night, try overnight ultra thin pads. Stayfree are the ones I use.
Also, try sleeping on your side. It helps prevent leaks.
As to the tampon, you may have to wake up in the night to change it. But it would probably be worth it. ]
wear a tampon and a pad at night. It works, i do it. for longer wear of tampons i reccomend the unscented ones. ]
i think there are some tampons that you could wear overnight. it would say on the box if you were able to. you could look it up on the internet if you have to find what brand you could wear overnight. you could also ask your doctor too. i hope i helped. If you have anymore questions or need more advice, ask me in my column. wear a tampon at night. if you get 8 hours of sleep, its ok. otherwise get up in the middle of the night to take it out. your probably like god that suckks but it only takes about 2 minutes, and you should be back to sleep in 10-20. so 10 minutes to avoid leakage, AND tss, its good ]
Hey,
i've read your problem , and i think it is so natual to have a heavy flow. There are alot of people i know that complain of having a heavy flow, and especially when they wake up in the morning and find their underwear and pants and sometimes the sheets and blankets soaked, but there is nothing to be done about it, its not abnormal, so its fine, and all you have to do is to try and wear as much pads as you can, but don't wear tampons because yes they aren't that good for you. so goodluck , i guess, and if you need any other help please be free to contact me. ]
I've worn tampons over night for over 2 years and I never got TSS. It doesn't happen to everyone but it would be better if you got up during night to change it. If not, change it as soon as you get up. Also, make sure you eather wear a panty liner or a pad while you're using tampons just incase you leak. Your flow isn't as heavy once you're laying down though. ]
