Birth CC Im 16/f
I want to go on birth control for sexual and period reasons. I heard that when you go on birth control you only get your period once a month for like a DAY or TWO. To me, that alone seems worth it. My periods are really irregular and annoying though. PLus, I am a sexually active teen with my boyfriend who i am in love with. (we use condoms too)... But yea.. how could i bring it up to my mom without seeming like im in way over my head?

You aren't way in over your head, and I hope your mom wouldn't think you are. You don't have to mention to her that you've had sex. You can just tell her that you want to go on birth control because of your period. I'm on birth control and my period is still a week. But it's much lighter and I don't feel as crappy. I love it. Anyways, just explain to your mom why you want to go on the pill (leaving out the sex issue if nessecary) and i'm sure she will understand. ]
just sit down and talk to her and tell her that you want it because your periods are irregular and annoying, and you think it would be worth it. shell probably understand

No birth control makes you have your periods regulate it is not 1-2 days it more than that. Just said like mom my period is irregular so can we get a appt. for a gyno. ]
hey,
I see your problem here, and i understand how you feel about it. But i have only one suggestion and i thought it could help you.
why don't you sit and talk with your mom, and tell her about your irregular period, and how its been really bothering you, and when you tell her that, show her how really annoy it is, so that you can convince her even more, and then very quietly and calm, suggest how you think you should go on a birth control.
But if she doesn't agree , then please be free to post a new question, and I will come up with another suggestion, to help you.Goodluck ]
If you dont feel comfortable talking to her about the fact that you want to go on birth control for sexual reasons, then dont! Im sure she will understand if you talk to her about needing it for period reasons. Just explain to her that you are tired of your annoying period and you want to control it! good luck!
hope this helps :) ]
Just talk to her about your period being irregular and bothering you. And then tell her you would like some extra protection so you would feel safe if you and your guy were going to move to the next level (even though you already have;-)
hope thigns go well! ]
