period

Question Posted Thursday July 6 2006, 7:38 pm

well i got my period the first day of camp and i stil have it because its still he first week of camp. I put pads in, in the morning and since we swim first period i take it out in the bathroom and go swimming because your period temporarilly stops in water. I don't put a pad in after because i usually go to free swim at the end of the day so it would not make any sense. But my bathing suit bottoms get all bloody. Is there any way to make it easier at camp with putting the pads in.

PLEASE HELP! I rate al 5's!

thx

well if i were you i would just use tampons while you are at camp... i mean... i know it might seem weird at first but i promise you they are WAY more confortable and you cant really feel them at all... but that way you are still catching the blood and not ruining your bathing suit and or your clothes and you can even where them while you are in the water because your period doesnt usually stop while you are in water... no matter what everyone says i know... because even when i go swimming and my family goes swimming we always come out and have to change our tampon because it has soaked up so much blood... i mean sometimes i feel like im going to die i loose so much blood... and sometimes i even have to get out of the water just to change my tampon im so heavy... so i would just suggest using tampons and make it a lot easier on you and your clothing...
hope i helped
Destiny

omg please try tampons! that's the only thing to do.. they're sooo easy to try. start out with using Tampax Pearl or Playtex Slimfits or Playtex Gentle glide. Ask one of the councelers for some tampons. good luck! xox melissa

hunn..i would try tampons. you can wear them in the water and its much better than having to bleed in your bathing suit. in my opinion and in all my friends is that tampax pearl works best. trust me..its going to seem scary at first but you`ll get used to it and they are way more comfortable then pads. good luck! -Michelle

Your period most certainly does not stop in water, and you are risking embarrasment for yourself, not to mention how unsanitary it is to bleed in the water where everyone else is swimming. Wear a tampon, that is your only option if you want to swim.

your period doesnt stop in water. it just looks like it beacuse the blood gets wasked away.
you should try using tampons. they work well and you can wear them while swimming. and if not. just put a pad on after swimming. that way you will be safe.
