Moop answered Wednesday June 21 2006, 3:45 pm: when something in your body hurts it means you've done something wrong to it. there are a number of solutions:
1. stop drinking all soda.
2. go to the doctor.
I personally would do both of these. a doctor tends to know more than a bunch of teenagers on an advice site. [ Moop's advice column | Ask Moop A Question ]
kristen22 answered Wednesday June 21 2006, 11:11 am: Diet drinks come off as the safer way to still be able to drink the soft drinks you love without the calories. You couldn't be more WRONG. Yes all softdrinks are bad for you but especially DIET. Diet softdrinks contain -aspartame- It's a artifical ingredient that enables you to drink that softdrink and not have all the calories, but it still taste somewhat drinkable. I can not drink diet drinks because of that chemical
-aspartame- I get really bad migranes that could last days, however I drink regular softdrinks ALL the time. Aspartame can cause numerous side effects-headaches, cramps, weight gain, seizures, and dizziness are among some of the top complaints caused by regular Aspartame use. Because the body craves calories the drinkers of diet soda can actually gain excess weight and become obese. Diet sodas stimulate "sweet" taste buds, so they’re more likely to find something "sweet" to eat. The artificial sweetener aspartame has been proved responsible for an epidemic of cancer, brain tumors, and multiple sclerosis. [ kristen22's advice column | Ask kristen22 A Question ]
texancuti28 answered Wednesday June 21 2006, 10:44 am: In my opinion, you should stop drinking soda;it's obvious your body is telling you that it isn't taking it too well...you should also tell your mom/dad/guardian about the problem and see a doctor. There are plenty of other things you can drink like juice, koolaide and water.
karie28 answered Wednesday June 21 2006, 7:18 am: You're probably acidic. I suffer from the same thing, too, so I suggest you stop drinking carbonated drinks because it really "burns" your stomach.
But one question, though: are you on a diet? As in the "Operation Starvation" type? Because I noticed you said you only drink diet soda and I thought that you might be the type who doesn't eat. If this is the case, then you are soooo Wrong in drinking soda with an empty stomach because as we all know, soda is an acid and if it doesn't have anything to "burn" in your stomach, naturally, you will suffer from burning sensations there!!!!
Elcee answered Wednesday June 21 2006, 5:35 am: The best thing to do would be to go and see your doctor and discuss the problem with them. I can only suggest that there is too much acid in the drink for your stomach. If you put a dirty coin into a little soda for a few minutes then take it out the coin will be cleaner. This is what the soda is probably doing to your stomach lining. I wish you well. [ Elcee's advice column | Ask Elcee A Question ]
