I have a really bad sunburn...what should I do?
I'm very fair complected. Alot of it is on my arms and face. I've tried the mustard, vinager, and other crap that people say will bring the heat out of it but it has done nothing but irritate it, and make it look even redder. Help!

kristen22 answered Tuesday June 20 2006, 1:05 pm: Take a warm shower to draw out the heat of your sunburn. The warm water will increase circulation to the area while hydrating it, thereby speeding the healing process. Be sure to moisturize afterward as the water will dry your skin.
Aspirin kills the pain and reduces inflammation and redness of a sunburn. It short-circuits the whole sunburn process. It must be taken within 24 hours of getting sunburned.
For a severe sunburn, keep the area moist at all times with aloe vera. Aloe is very effective in relieving pain and inflammation.
lastlyMe answered Tuesday June 20 2006, 12:11 pm: try to get aloe. The real leaf kind. That stuff is pure magic lol. It is so great. I keep it on hand, and an extra bottle of the gel kind all the time. Seriously, aloe is sunburns arch enemy ^^ [ lastlyMe's advice column | Ask lastlyMe A Question ]

Remember to wear sun screen and not just tanning oil or nothing at all. SO go to a stor and you can get like jell stuff there are several kinds of it. I like the kind that is the brand hawiian Topic/ Cucumber Melon soothing aloe vera it has vitamins A,Band E and it soothes, cools, and moisturises thats what the front of it says. It also is in a clear bottle and the gel itself it a green type of color. Hope this helps. Good luck in the future. [ barreldreamer101's advice column | Ask barreldreamer101 A Question ]
jeanine278972 answered Tuesday June 20 2006, 11:20 am: Go to wal-mart and look for a blue aloe solution called Ocean Potion. Put it in the refrigerator until it gets cold, then put it on the sunburn. It's kind of a shock at first because it's so cold, but it works awesomely. It gets rid of some of the heat from the burn and doesn't irritate it.

princessrissa0x answered Tuesday June 20 2006, 8:55 am: ok... same thing happened to me except myne was during my graduation and stuff so i had to get rid of it. by a bottle of ALOE and stick it in the refridgerator over night or for a couple of hours. then rub it on the sunburn and it like stops the irritation and it helps the heat come down. it worked on me except the only thing i didn't like is that it healed the sunburn but it made it peel.
