orphans answered Monday June 19 2006, 5:22 pm: take notes in class so that when you come home you can look over them if you forget what you learned.
just don't let yourself watch tv, and remind yourself that if you do, you'll have to stay up all night to finish your homework♥ [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

Give yourself an hour every day for TV. Doesn't matter if you do it before or after your homework, but after an hour you HAVE to turn it off. Get a planner and write down all your homework assignments in it. If you have to take a break from your homework, do it by stretching and drinking a glass of water--that will actually focus your mind.
It will be tough at first, but keep at it and it will start to come naturally.

I know its hard but try not to watch tv while doing homework. Maybe set up a reward system if you complete all your homewokr sufficiently. Like, for every successful class assignment you finish, you can watch a tv program or something. [ beachpeach's advice column | Ask beachpeach A Question ]
DefinedEyes answered Monday June 19 2006, 2:45 pm: Oh, dear, well maybe you do have ADD if its that hard for you to concentrate you know?
If you think so, check out some help maybe :)?
But otherwise, stay motivated, try hard to concentrate in school, take notes everday, keep a planner of what you do each day, and it will help you remember it easier!
Manage your time well, dont waste time and dwaddle, good luck!
pinkers answered Monday June 19 2006, 12:58 pm: when you are in a class ask your teacher if she minds you taking notes. Save the notes and review them before you do homework so you will remember what you did in class. hope i helped! [ pinkers's advice column | Ask pinkers A Question ]
iSLAND_iNTHE_SUNx0 answered Monday June 19 2006, 11:53 am: I've had the same problem during school. I kind of either gave up or told myself "Its okay, I'll do it later" or "Its okay, I'll do it in the period before its due". Its not really a good habit to get yourself into and you need to realize that because it'll help you. You just gotta be strong and don't give in to temptation. Work in a room thats far away from the t.v., radio and/or anything else that will distract you such as the computer, AIM, etc.
Tell your parents whats wrong and help them be more on top of you during homework time. If you start watching t.v. have them make you stop. For me, one of my biggest distractions was myspace. I got stuck on a problem and I just went on the computer. What I did, was I changed all my passwords for everything and they were so random that I wouldn't remember them. And when I was done with my homework or whatever needed to be done, I had the passwords retrieved. I could have easily retrieved them at anytime but I knew I had to get things done so I didn't. This really helped me during times I had major project to get done, etc.
Maybe for the t.v. you can have your mom or dad hide the remote during homework time & turn it to one of those channels thats super static-y. If you're one of those people who refuse to get up to turn the channel, this will totally work, lol.
Hope I helped.
