Redness in a zit

Question Posted Tuesday June 13 2006, 10:47 pm

How do you get the redness & the swelling of a zit to go down? I'd be very gratefull for just one of the two answers but two would be GREAT!

See, I am gonna see the guy I like tomorrow around 7, & my face is clear besides this red zit right in the middle of my forehead. I know that make up will make it look better but its just so red!!

So I just want some tricks to 1. make the redness go away, & 2. make the swelling go down.

I'll rate 5s for well thought out answers.

I don't want answers like "wash your face", cuz I do that day & night.

Thanks in advance.

When ihave this problem i learned if you get a washcloth and put as hot as you can take it water on it, then hold it on your face where the zit is, it helps reduce swelling and is very easily popped (barely touch it and it pops and is gone the next day) hope this helps!

okay this works everytime for me, i use toothpaste. it probably seems wierd but it acutally works really well for me. its the colgate total advanced fresh one and you just put it on before you go to bed and wash it off when you wake up. the pimple should be less red and should be less noticeable, and also smaller.

Well if you put toothpast on it overnight it will get rid of the redness. But sometimes it doesnt work. You could also try a hot cloth.

:] Heyy!

A lot of people will say to put toothpaste on it, which might help. But I don't know if the zit you have is like scabby? Like did you pop it or anything? Because if you did, I would highly recommend NOT using toothpaste, because it dries it out, and you won't be able to cover it with make-up because it will dry out and look REALLY bad.

Doing anything that has heat will REALLY help with the swelling & the redness. Like, placing a cloth that was soaked in hot water and placing it on your forehead (or wherever the zit might be) will really help. And, also steaming your face or taking a hot shower/bath. :]

OKAYYYYY!!

So start by taking a shower making yourself clean.
Then warm up the bathtub with bubbles an candles an just soak an relax. THEN get out take a warm rag let it soak in hott water then ring it out so its like damp then just put it on your face an lay down in your bed...thenn after id say maybe 5min go put toothpaste on the zit then try the hott rag again for 5min an it should help it go down an the redness as well.

wash ur face really good
