when parent's ask you a question you don't know the answer to what do you say. They hate it when you say i don't know.

Tell them you're just not sure but you'd be happy to find out the answer for them. They're your parents. They'll forgive you if you don't know the answer. Also, if you must say I don't know, then do it in a regretful tone not a monotnous tone. Always remember to be positive about it. Act like you're sincerely sorry about not knowing the answer. (But don't go over the top) They'll appreciate your willingness.

Here's an answer if you want to act like you're smart... "Hypothetically, that is a quite exquisite question, so let me ponder it out for a few moments and I'm determined that I shall have a spectacular conclusion."

If you want to be more simpler then say, "Uh, I need some time to think but come back in a half hour and I'll deffinitely have an answer."

Hope I helped. ♥ ♥

... even if I know I can't find out!

Well all you have to say is Mom or dad which ever i really dont know! or you need to tell them somthing like i think...... or this might be it..... But it kind of depends on the parents because if you say somthings they may consider it back talk. But I dont know what else to say so I hope I helped

I guess it depends on the question that was asked. If you could be reasonably expected to know the answer, they could be annoyed if you say you don't know.
Then again, if they are asking you to make a decision about something and you can't make up your mind, this could be frustrating to them, especially if a quick reply is needed.
As I said, it really does depend on the questions being asked. If you can give a little more information it may make answering this easier.
