Hi, i weight 116.5 pounds and im 5'6. my age is 14. i have a 8% body fat percentage rate. i run and workout every other day, and i play baseball. i think im fat, i dont no why, it takes over my life! please help me. do u think im fat?
MikeCFT answered Friday June 2 2006, 1:30 am: Fat at an 8% bodyfat level? Are you kidding? especially a female at your height and weight.
There's no way that you're fat if you truly are at 8%- professional bodybuilders usually get down to about 4-6% bodyfat so put it in perspective. [ MikeCFT's advice column | Ask MikeCFT A Question ]
kakeline answered Thursday June 1 2006, 11:28 pm: actually, at that body fat percentage you could develop problems with having your period stop. some girls are fine though, so i hope you are too.
i don't know what your frame size is, but either way... to put this in perspective, you're only about 26 pounds from being too thin to survive.
i hope you aren't thinking about losing more...
i'm 5'7, and four years ago when i was diagnosed with anorexia, i was 118 pounds (down from 130). i was having extremely bad health problems then, and i weighed more than you do now.
hopefully you can feel better about yourself before it's too late. you are perfect the way you are. stressing about it, centering your life around something as fickle as your weight.. it's not worth it. [ kakeline's advice column | Ask kakeline A Question ]

Christeena answered Thursday June 1 2006, 7:51 pm: You're not fat, trust me. If anything you might be a little bit underweight, or close to it. You shouldn't think you are fat because it will just lead to an eating disorder which is never good. [ Christeena's advice column | Ask Christeena A Question ]
ND143 answered Thursday June 1 2006, 7:50 pm: k WOOOOOOO! first of all. lemme just point out a few things. 115 lbs is normal for a girl your age whos 5'3! and normal body fat % is about 20%! you are very very VERY not fat. if you do all that activity, you're in very good shape. please try to realize that and be happy with who you are (INCLUDINGGG what you look like) before it turns into a bigger problem. aka. eating disorder..trust me. i've experienced it first hand. its N O T fun [ ND143's advice column | Ask ND143 A Question ]
