chlorine is good for the skin. totally.. it helps with acne and just skin in general.. but it isnt like the best or anything it is just okay for it.. hair.. no it isnt bad for it but too much is def not good for it. it could change your hair color.. mainly blonde headed people

hey well i agree with what everyone else said so i won't repeat it, but i don't think chlorine is good or bad for your skin... it just all depends on how well you take care of your skin to begin with. as far as your hair, chlorine is not good for it at all. the best thing to do before going in a pool is soaking your hair in fresh water in the shower, and then going into the pool. that way your hair will absorb very little pool water, and the chlorine won't damage it as much!! :)

chlorine doesnt really have much of a good or bad effect on your skin. it depends on your skin type, really. the reson why your skin gets real soft is prolly cuz its well moisturized in the first place. because some people, on the other hand get flaky skin after being in chlorine. i know for a fact, though that it definetely does some damage on your hair. it dries it out, and can cause breakage and split ened to become more visible. after a day of swimming, its recommended to wash your hair with just conditioner, but let it soak on your hair for a few minutes, and let it air dry. keeping up this routine in the summer will keep your hair shiny and soft for when school starts up again. hope i helped.

Chlorine is not bad for your skin. I swim normally, and the most I ever get is soft skin, as you said, maybe a little dry, and if I go in for too long, my skin will smell like chlorine even after a few showers. What happens is that your cells are more percentage water than the chlorinated water, so water leaves some of your cells and chlorine goes in. A shower takes the chlorine out.
And chlorine can be bad for your hair. If you are blond, it may even turn green. You want to use a swimmer's shampoo when washing.
