Kelss answered Thursday May 25 2006, 9:46 am: OCD stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. It's when people freak out over the little things. They actually had a True Life episode on MTV and it was called "True Life-I Have OCD" and it was all about kids who have OCD. Sometimes people are extremely afraid of being sick or getting germs, or on the show there was this girl who was obsessed with her dead mother. Another really popular kind of OCD is when you touch something withone hand, you have to touch it with the other hand. Hope this helped.
tinkerbelle92 answered Wednesday May 24 2006, 11:12 pm: OCD stands for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I know a few people that have it.
One of them is like terrified of germs and she would have to wash her hands all the time, and thoughts were going through her mind over and over like "what if i get sick?? what am i going to do??" since she washed her hands so much, her hands were all cracked and sore.
Another person I know has OCD. She always has to have everything clean. If she ever sees a mess, she has to clean it up. She vacuums her house every day. She will even clean her sister's bedroom for her because she can't stand the mess.
So basically, OCD is when you are obsessed over small little things, and you can't get the thoughts out of your head. Then you worry too much about it, and start having problems in school, work, or other places because you can't think.

karenR answered Wednesday May 24 2006, 1:40 pm: obsessive-compulsive disorder.
The individual who suffers from OCD becomes trapped in a pattern of repetitive thoughts and behaviors that are senseless and distressing but extremely difficult to overcome. OCD occurs in a spectrum from mild to severe, but if severe and left untreated, can destroy a person's capacity to function at work, at school, or even in the home.
