MAK answered Sunday August 13 2006, 5:28 pm: try going to your local gymnasium, preferably where they have a gymnastics team or recreational programs. you wont start learning flips until your more experienced and youve covered the basics, such as a cartwheel. then you'll go into roundoff's (sort of like a cartwheel except you push off of your shoulders and land with two feet) and then of course onto backflips and frontflips. but what ever you do do not try to teach yourself these skills - you can injure yourself, or develope bad habits so if you are looking into becoming more serious, those bad habits might become an obsticle. hope this helps and be safe!!! jazziepink_09 answered Friday June 2 2006, 7:13 am: im a cheerleader and i can do everything on your list except a front flip. the problem is im not there to coach u. www.cheerleading.about.com should have steps on how to do all these flips n stuff. step by step instructions are good for your mind like knowing what you need to do but a coach would be better. never do 2,3, or 4 alone always have someone who knows how to do it with u. $ JAZZIEPINK_09 $ [ jazziepink_09's advice column | Ask jazziepink_09 A Question ]
JillandAmanda answered Thursday May 25 2006, 8:13 pm: ok, jill and i(amanda) do gymnastics. seriously, its very dangerous to do a backflip of any kind of tumbling without help. especially if you dont know what it is that your doing. if you want to learn to tumble take classes or try gymnastics. it will rock your socks.
Kelss answered Thursday May 25 2006, 9:55 am: You need to go to a gym or something, so you don't get hurt. Join gymnastics and have someone spot you when your doing it. A roundoff is like a cartwheel except you land with two feet together instead of apart like you do in a cartwheel. I suggest you start with someing as simple as a cartwheel and then gradually make your way up to roundoff then front flip thenn back flip should be very last. But definetly make sure you join gymnastics first. I used to do gymnastics and quit a few years ago, but I can do a cartwheel, a roundoff, a front flip (trampoline only) and a front handspring. I used to be able to do a roundoff back handspring, but I haven't been able to do one every since I quit. Join gymnastics and you will be able to do all the things you said above, and even more.
Sherry answered Tuesday May 23 2006, 10:26 pm: There is no website that can tell you how to do these things. Trying everything on your own can be very dangerous. You'll need a certified gymnastics/cheerleading coach to train you in these areas. Try to look around your area for cheerleading or gymnastics gyms...they usally offer classes for beginner tumblers! This way your doing it safley and you'll learn from the best. If you dont know of any gyms around your area...send something to my inbox with your city, state and I'll be glad to find some for you.
