Saynotogymclass answered Wednesday May 10 2006, 7:38 pm: It is not normal to get severe cramps like that! You should contact your doctor so they can put you on the pill. The pill will control your hormone levels, so your cramps won't be as severe. Every "girl talk" book I have has said to do that, so save yourself the misery and call the doc!! soendearing answered Tuesday May 9 2006, 3:38 pm: Not serious at all. I'm the same exact way. To help the pain, buy like a therma pad kind of thing and put it on where it hurts, it will help the pain go away, i don't think it will complete go away, but it will deffinetly help it be less painful.
You can also buy some Midol, thats also used to any type of period pain. :]
Xo_Blondii_oX answered Tuesday May 9 2006, 3:06 pm: That is not a serious problem i am exactly like you so i know waht your going through. My pains got so bad one day that my mom had to take me to the hospital they did a bunch of exams and it turns out i have a cist on my ovaries which causes alot of pain before, during, and after your period. So you may have a cist but you may not. If your really worried then you can get a appt at the gynocologist(sp?) and they will do an exam and most of the time they will give you pain medicine, which really helps. But for your question its not a serious problem but going to the doctor will help solve any questions or worries you have. Hope i helped!!

I have good news, and bad news. Good news....it is not a serious problem. Bad news....you'll likely always suffer from severe menstrual cramps.
I was/am exactly like you. My cramps were so bad, that I felt like I couldn't move. I went to my doctor (which you should do, just to be on the safe side), and she told me that some girls are just unlucky and have to deal with alot of pain.
She did give me a few options. Being on the birth control pill helps alot. When on the pill you don't have a "real" period, therefore the pain isn't as bad. There are also some prescription meds that can help minimize the pain.
I really noticed an improvement after having a baby. Now, I'm certainly not suggesting that you do this, but it's just hope for the future :)
Try putting a heating pad on your stomach...that helps me.
