I'm entering my school's talent show. It's coming up very soon. I'm gonna to sing. I'd prefer to do a country song sung by a female. I play guitar if that helps. Please give suggestions =)
dottie4 answered Thursday May 18 2006, 9:43 pm: I'm sorry for answering so late but you could try a Kitty Wells song like, It wasn't god who madeHonky Tonk ngels. You could also try an Dolly Parton song like, Coat of Many Colors or, a Patsy Cline number like Crazy. Maybe even an old Loretta Lynn song like, Coal Miner's Daughter. Hope I came of some help. "Born to Fly", "Perfect", "A Real Fine Place to Start", "Suds In The Bucket" and "I Could Not Ask For More" are a few that I would suggest. "I Could Not Ask For More" was originally sung by Edwin McCain I believe. It's a great song and I think that would be the one I would choose. Even if you're not a fan of country, you'll probably know it, which is good for a talent show. "How Far" by Martina McBride would also be a good song. Kellie Pickler sang it on American Idol, if you keep up with that. I wish you the best of luck and no matter what song you pick, I'm sure that you'll do well. :) [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]
the.incredible.mable answered Monday May 8 2006, 9:10 pm: OOhh Dear!
I am not a fan of country music at all, but some of my absoulte favorite music is classified as "alt. country" Neko Case. SHe has the most amazing voice ever and some very classy country songs.
Her best song is "Hold on Hold on" -Neko Case-(album) The Fox Confessor Brings The Flood.

tinkerbelle92 answered Monday May 8 2006, 8:37 pm: Well I personally love the song "Concrete Angel" by Martina McBride, she sings a lot of good songs. You could do one of hers. Try looking up Martina McBride, and I'm sure you can find one that suits your range of singing, and one that you can play on your guitar. If you don't want to do one by her, then maybe try going to ask.com or another search engine, and type in "country songs" and I'm sure that you will be able to find exactly what you are looking for. Hope i could help!
