I want to get my nose pierced during the summer (nothing too big, just a small piercing on the side) but I want to make sure I'll be able to take it out at school.
How long do you have to wait after getting something pierced before you can take it out?
thats.smelly.good answered Sunday April 30 2006, 9:06 pm: if you take your piercing out it will close up really fast. so if you want to take it out during school it will close up. oh by
the way piercings usually take 8 weeks to heal
Melody_sss answered Sunday April 30 2006, 7:25 pm: It can take up to six weeks for it to heal and then you can take it in and out at any time. Nose is a senstive part of the body and can close up very quickly maybe you can pierce it with a clear stud at the start, and then once you can take it in and out, buy another stud with a real diamond for the times you are out of school.. It'll be about two months before you can change the jewlery, but some people will find depending on how they heal, they'll never be able to go very long without a stud or ring before it closes up. However, since your nose is cartilege, the hole will still be there, you'll just have to poke through the skin a bit to get it in, after not wearing it for a while- which if you're squirmish might be a pain.
If you have other piercings like your ears, how long you can go without wearing them will be fairly accurate of how long you can go without wearing your nose ring. [ Notso's advice column | Ask Notso A Question ]
aquababe1 answered Sunday April 30 2006, 7:06 pm: well nose piercings are supposed to be in for the first 4 -6 monthes...but even if you take it out for a day the hole will close up. the only reason i would take it out is to clean it. its supposed to be up to a year when you can actually walk around for a week or so and change the piercing without a problem [ aquababe1's advice column | Ask aquababe1 A Question ]
