I'm a junior in highschool & I'm taking the SATs this week for the first time. I'm nervous and I just need some tips. What should I keep in mind when I take the test? How long does it usually take to finish the whole thing? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
It wasnt all that hard except in a few areas. Get alot of sleep the night before, and a good breakfast. They start testing probly about 8am last 4-5 hours. Its a very long boring process. i recommend taking a snack and a drink for break.

1) its only a test so realx... if your too tense you wont do as well.
2) You have seen everything on this test before... you know it ... dont cram ... that will just stress you out
3) the test usually takes around 4 hours ( give or take around 20 minutes to complete all the personal information)
4) make sure you bring a few snacks with you to tide you over ... the test usually starts at around 8 and doesnt end until around 12:30 so bring something healthy ( a granola bar and like a little carton of orange juice is what i used to bring)
5) DONT FORGET YOUR PENCILS!!! I know it sounds silly but i've done it ... ( other things to remember ...your admission ticket and a calculator)
6) last ...finally and most importantly You can take this test again ... and the colleges will take the best of all the scores (you can combine scores from different tests) So if you have a bad day dont sweat it ...
