tamponns

Question Posted Friday April 28 2006, 10:13 pm

for ladies-- no men allowed!

today i bought a box of slender regular tampons. usually i use pads but its a hassel wearing them to school because after a few hours they get sticky and very uncomfortable. also, i can never find the time in between classes to change them so i desperately need to learn how to use tampons.

ok first of all, i am aware of the dangers (like if you leave one in too long and etc.) so all i need to know is where to put it. i looked on a doctor website and found a diagram but its so much different on myself. there's like, too much skin. i hate talking to my mom about it because its awkward and if i asked her where then that would get EXTREMELY awkward.

help? (please this is like life depending... ill rate big time!)

There should be really good instructions right in the box. :)

Good luck!

[Link](Mouse over link to see full location) That website is so helpful. It shows you pictures of where to put it in correctly and other important information. It's nothing gross. It's easy if you put one leg of the toilet seat and one down. But just visit that site.

without getting all personal and gross on you here...

sometime when you AREN'T on your period, go into the bathroom when no one is going to bother you, and just experiment. Start from the front, and just run your finger along ^ahem^ until you find when the tampon goes. Knowing about "down there" is pretty important. If you're all lost... try a mirror. If this grosses you out then.. hunni you need to get comfortable with your body sooner or later.

sorry if that whole thing just completely degraded you in any way. I hope i helped.
if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I've been using tampons for 5 years.

I learned to prop one leg up (on the toilet seat or a stool) place a mirrior on the floor if you need to use your hands you can always wash them this is totally normal....it should be the only whole you see...and gently glide the tampon in and hold the applicaror and push the bottom of the applicator up and the tampon should easily slide in if you have a sharp pain pull on the string a little bit sometimes when you first start using them they are a little uncomfortable after you use them a couple of times it will be very easy...to do between classes...now that i use tampons i can hardly use a pad...pads are so very uncomfortable....good luck!
