maybe you and your mom should go see a doctor and have him explain to her that a fast metabolisim is natural and takin you to a hospital isnt going to do anything. I have a fast metabloilisim too, I jsut reached over 100 pounds recently nad im 18, its nothin o be worried about or need to go to ahospitaly for, its just the way your body is.

Well If you're trying to gain weight, eat a lot, but don't let it be too unhealthy. Don't start eating burgers 3 times a day to look healthy, because you really won't be. Just keep eating normal meals and snacks. As long as you're not starving yourself, it's not your fault!

honestly, i'm the exact same way. my mom has always threatened to take me to a hospital, but first, you have to realize that it's only an empty threat, and that she isn't going to do that unless you really are dangerously unhealthy. as long as you're eating normal meals, your weight should continue to follow its own pattern on that doctor percent tile thingy. just try not to mind her, and keep eating, and you'll be fine. hope this helps

One of my best friends is just like you in this respect. He is a guy and, ever since I have known him, he has been thin as a stick. The thing is, this guy eats like a pig. I am not exagerrating here, he eats all the unhealthy stuff you could imagine, and in large quanities.

They ran a program on skinny people on TV once. It was fascinating, some of them were drinking cream by the carton every day with no effect. The reason I am saying this is because eating a lot of crap might not have the effect you desire.

Also, another important note, is that even though you dont gain weight, it does not mean its healthy to eat only crap (you still get cholesterol problems for example, those are not really weight related).

Now, what I would recommend would be to try to go to the gym and put on some weight through weight training. Then create a nice calorie surplus, with the right emphasis on protein, and you should be well on your way. It is a lot healthier and probably more effective than eating a lot of junkfood or whatever.

Of course consulting a doctor on this matter, as suggested below, is never a bad idea.

Good luck.

Oh, and just to answer the main part of your question, usually fattening foods are things containing excessive amounts of saturated fat or sugar. This includes things like junk foods, sweets, sodas, mayo, cream, most cheeses, butter, fatty meats, deep fried stuff etc. Again though, this stuff is not healthy and may not work on you anyway.

Well, you are in luck because I have the same problem as you. I am very skinny, but do not have an eating disorder. No matter what I did, I couldn't gain weight, so I was sent for a doctors appointment at the hospital. I was scared at first, but it wasn't that bad. They just asked me a lot of questions, gave me a physical, and eventually medicated me. I am taking medicine that helps me gain weight, and it's working a lot. The only bad part about my hospital visit was that they made me get blood work so they could diagnose me with a disease to help them medicate me. So you may have to go to a hospital--but not one for crazy people. Before you go to the hospital, see your doctor about your problem. There may be something he can do to help, or he could refer you to a good hospital and a really nice doctor. In the meantime, I wouldn't eat any fattening foods--you need to gain weight the healthy way. Just follow the food pyramid until you can get some help. Good luck with everything! I know that it will work out just fine.

Eat alot more fast food and things with sugar. Alot of meats do also, like steak. Sodas add alot of weight too.
