i sometimes ( like when i lay down for a while ) have a sharp pain right above my navel. what is this?? is it part of the sytoms of starting a period. I doubt it. but i really hope not!! THanks!

That's happened to me before. I don't know what it is, but when it happened to me, it was a few days before I started my period. I'm guessing it has to do with ovulation.

No...most likely it is not pain from your period or any reproductive function or disorder. Pain in that area would be more typical of gastric problems. In any case you should see a Dr for diagnosis and treatment.

it could be part of a period, idk, im a guy. but just try to live with it because it's all part of growing up. hope this helps

Hi

It could be because you are ovulating. This happens approximately a week before your period. It's always best to check with a medical professional though. Good luck.

It could be anything, it's probably nothing serious, but you should go to the doctor just to be sure. Period cramp is usually below the navel, so it might not be that.
