OK. My sister just had a baby boy in early May and I have babysat him a couple of times. There are a few essential items you need the parents to give you before they leave;
bib.
formula/bottle.
pacifier.
You might have to bounce him/her until they fall asleep. If you don't already know this, this is probably how the day will go for the younger one. They will cry, you will feed them, you need to burp them until they burp or spit up, Theywill get bored, you entertain them/talk to them, they'll fall asleep in your arms, you CAREFULLY put them down in their crib/place to sleep. If they start to wake up whenever you put them down, put a light blanket on them, and rub their backs. Don't ask why. I have no idea, but it works.
Hope I helped !!!

you can ask the parents if you can use the baby's carseat for the day/night, you can use it for a high chair or anything like that. babies sleep alot anyways but if she/he starts crying then get a small stuffed animal or something and entertain them and rock or hold them. and if they keep crying then call the parents just incase the baby might be getting sick or something. when it comes to food the parents will most likely tell you what they eat but if they dont then ask them and remember not to heat bottles in the microwave because it causes heat pockets in the bottle that could burn the baby so you put about two to three inches of water in a pot and put it on the stove with the bottle in it and dont forget to check it on your wrist so you know if its too hot. oh and this is very important..NEVER LET A BABY SLEEP ON ITS STOMACH. and dont let it sleep with a lot of blankets because it may sufficate itself. i know this sounds like a lot but it's almost second nature to know how to take care of a baby. just do what you think is right and dont forget to play with your other cousin too because im sure they would enjoy attention too. dont forget all of your important numbers like the parents cell numbers or the number to the place they're going and of couse 911 if anything major happens but dont worry you'll be fine. like i said it may sound like a lot to remember but its really pretty basic stuff so good luck and have fun!
let me know how it went

i have a 1 year old niece! and this is what i do to make sure i am good of course have all emergency numbers!
cell phone, the number of were the parents are going to be... make sure you have everything your need...like especially if its all night and its at your house you will need dipers, bab's food and the milk powder and what not make sure the parents bring everything the baby will need and no of course you don't have to hold the baby the whole time when its going to sleep (idk if you want to do this ask the parents first!) take a thick blanket on the floor and supporting pillows areound so the baby can sleep or i guess if he/she can crawl yet but keep your eye on the baby and ask your other little cousin for help well if he/ shes old enough because hey they only live with the baby!
good luck

All you really need to know is how to change a diaper and feed the baby. Your family will tell you what to do, where everything is etc. You dont need to hold the baby a lot because all they mostly do is sleep. If the baby starts crying, hold it and rock it and in about 5-10 minutes he/she will be fine again. Maybe you can have a friend come over and help you? It'll go by quick if everything goes fine..you might just end up being bored and watching T.V. =) Good luck !

No you don't have to hold her all the time. Does her parents have a rocker or a cradle. You can rock her and show her picture book, read sotries, show her kids shows, and sing and clap and stuff. She mite not understand the tv and singing and stuff but I think she mite think it's funny or fun. wen u change her dippies (diaper) make sure u put diaper cream or rash cream or powder so she doesn't get disper rash.
