I want to buy birth control, but the thing is im kind of young and my parents can't know. If i buy it alone at like the CVS or Walmart, is it possible thatthe sales clerk will stop me from buying it?

To get the perscription you`d have to see a doctor..You can go to a gynocologist..Planned Parenthood would be great..You wouldn`t need a parent look it up in a local phone book..
orphans answered Sunday April 9 2006, 12:05 am: you cant really buy birth controll at any stores exept for condoms...you would have to go to a doctor and they would perform a pelvic exam and then perscribe you the birth controll. the only places you could go to without parental consent is planned parenthood. so good luck!! That aside, you can buy VCF (vaginal contraceptive film), condoms, and spermicide over the counter; oral contraceptives must be prescribed to you. [ NinjaNeer's advice column | Ask NinjaNeer A Question ]

jammy12 answered Saturday April 8 2006, 10:26 pm: Unless you know her/him they cannot by any means stop you because you are a customer and payin your money. I often don't buy things in places I know people because of that. If that occcurs however maybe you should try to go to a drugstore outsdie your district. OnlyTheRightAnswers answered Saturday April 8 2006, 9:34 pm: The sales people are not supposed to stop you but they may refuse to sell you something if you appear very young. Also, remember you can only get spermicide and condoms when it comes to stores, so your best bet is to go to a Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood offers several types of birth control that is usually free or pretty cheap. Plus, they don't judge you for coming in and asking for protection.
Nevaeh314 answered Saturday April 8 2006, 9:24 pm: Depends on what kind of birthcontrol you're talking about. If it's just condoms, foams, jellies, etc, you won't have a problem, it's not illegal anywhere in the US to buy these things over the counter. If you mean the pill, the patch, the shot, or IUDs and the like, you need a doctor's visit for that, which I'm guessing you can't do without your parents.
Hope this helps!
