It's pretty good for you, but also has a lot of fat, so I wouldn't classify it as something good for eating while you are on a diet.

protein IS good for dieters because it fills you up but peanut butter (any kind) gets most of its calories from fat. So even though it's fine in small quantities, no it's not good for diets. (This is true of nuts in general, they can be a good snack but it's easy to eat a lot at once and they're a high calorie food.) Shoot for lean-protein like turkey, tuna or chicken breast or a protein bar (check the number of calories and sugar content though).

It's a good source of protein [meaning an organic or all-natural brand, not the overprocessed kind]. Of course, there's still a bit of natural fat, but in short, yes, it is good.

NO it isn't

Only natural PB is...regular PB is just filled with fat and garbage. Check with your local grocery store and get some all natural PB- its a much better alternative than Skippy.

yeah, if you eat it in moderation, and if you eat the right brand. Eating jif isn't gonna help your diet. Buy either trader joes brand, or laura scutters brand peanut butter. They're better, healthier, and come in smooth to extra chunky. I know this because I am a peanut butter addict

While PB is healthy, it also has good fats.

I wouldn't eat a lot of it if you're on a diet.

Peanut butter has loads of fat in it.

Most diets I believe allow you to have a tablespoon a day of peanut butter. It is a good source of protein. :)
