I'm not having sex, but the month is almost over and I haven't had my period yet. I run track and that's about it. Is there any reason why it hasn't come on? Please help me asap. thank u
If your period has always been regular up until now then the fact that you run could be affecting it. However this isn't really a problem and it won't harm you in anyway. If you don't run for a few months then it should go back to normal but there's no need for that unless you plan on getting pregnant soon. If you're still in the first year or two of having periods and there's no other problems you're having, I wouldn't be too worried. Though talking to a doctor will probably be the best way to put your mind at ease. [ erythisis's advice column | Ask erythisis A Question ]

Karen answered Friday March 24 2006, 8:55 pm: Being physically active affects your menstrual cycle. If you have just begun your menstruation, your body will need time to regulate itself. You may not get your period this month but it's normal. If you miss your next period(s), make an appointment with a clinician just to be sure with everything.

xomegaroni answered Friday March 24 2006, 7:30 pm: since you aren't sexually active, it isn't cause of that. if you're running more than you normally do, it definately could be because of exercise. usually all girls have irregular months. maybe all the time er once in awhile. it definately could be exercise, especially with track & stuff. try talking to someone about it if you're worried. if you miss the 2nd month, then you might want to go to see a gyno. juss to see what's going on. it's normal.
