Tampons
OK i was just wondering if it was ok if i wore a tampon to school all day without changing it??
like i would put it in around 7:15 and take it out around 3:30

Hii..I'm 16 years old and I guess its really your opinion on whats wrong.. I, myself could really care less how long they get left in.. Like I sleep with them..But I have stopped. A month ago I was diagnosed? with toxic shock sydrome..That scary thing the box of tampons warns you about. The thing no one thinks they'll ever get.. The signs i got was a really big headache, I threw up.. A weird rash that turned into itchy but wasnt at first. A few other things.. So I went to the doctor and they gave me 2 iv's...my bloodpressure went really low so I had to be transported by an ambulance two hours away to santa clara where I was put in the intensive care unit.(icu). I stayed there for two nights and was put on antibiotics for two weeks.. Most people with toxic schock stay there for a month or so.. The doctor came in and told me that if i didnt get to the other doctors in time then my organs might have failed and i would have died.. so pleasee be careful.. and I heard pearl tampons are worse.

yeah..wearing it that long is a little to long. i'd change at least once about half way through the day, like after lunch

i would change it around lunch time... unless you don't want to change it... then i would say that you should take it out and wear a pad for part of the day..... you could get an infection in you leave it in that long...

every 8 hours are when you are supposed to change tampons so you will be fine.

well as far as i know ur period is only supposed to last for about 4 hours so as long as you don't have a heavy flow i think you will be ok. It also depends on wat tampon you use, make sure it is a comfortable one.

tech. its okay to do but i wouldnt do it.. like i do that and by 1 i start feeling sick and its not good. what i would do is wear a tampon for like most of the day and then wear a pad like the last period or 2 thats what i do

Don't i have heard that if you keep a tampon in for more than 6 hours than you can get a infection. and personally i can't believe that holds you for that long geeze. Okay but anyways I wouldn't just change once during school or more if u would like. It's not that much of a hassle. But don't keep it in for more than 6 hours. because again you MIGHT GET A INFECTION! Hope I helped!

Personally I wouldn't because I've heard that you sould only keep one in for 6-7 hours, and if your flow if heavy that day one for 8 hours might not do it do just keep one in your pocket and change it durning lunch.

I think you will be totally fine...some girls put one in and forget they have one like all day so...just remember you have one in and change atleast as soon as you get back home!! But if i was you i would take one to school maybe in a purse or something and change it about lunch time or so. hope this helps!!

Yes you will be fine.
Toxic shock comes from those people who put one in...and then TOTALLY forget its there and don't take it out.
Trust me...there are people who do that.
So just remember its there and remove it. Don't forget its there for a week! :)
