songs needed

Question Posted Monday February 27 2006, 10:15 am

Me and my friend want to start a "band" so there would be two singers. I was wondering if anyone has any songs that have two singers in them. We already have a couple of Aly and AJ songs. But we would like some more. If you have any ideas please help.
I rate 5's for good answers.

If you want to kick it old school a bit, haha, you could always go for some Heart. I love the song "What About Love?" and they have many more great ones. A classic pair for duets. NEVER be afraid to look to past music because there is some great stuff out there. ^_^ Best of Luck!

aly and aj is good. Hilary duff too. Actaully you both could sing on justabout every song if you just split it into parts in stuff like that. writing your ownsong may be best way. Hey where did you find stuff on aly and aj i am trying to learn the bass for them but i can t find the music for it anywhere

Well, I think Aly&AJ songs are perfectly good songs to sing (I like them all, personally) and I agree with "Our Lips Are Sealed" by Hilary and Haylie Duff.... also by them is "The Siamese Cat Song" on Disneymania (1 I think)

But, yes you should also write your own songs.

And there is a girl band that I really like but has 3 girls (1 barely sings though) called BarlowGirl... they're good.
And there is a band that has 2 girl singers but also some guys that mostly play music but depending on the song, they sing too... it's called Superchic[k]

Maybe Jump5...
Also, I knwo of MaryMary but I personally hate their music... LOL.

Ummmm...... I can't think of anything else.

But if you guys plan on trying to get a record deal and being famous, you would definitely have to write some of your won songs because ones by other people are copyrighted and you would have to get their permission to sing them professionally.

But just as a fun bonding thing or school fundraiser or whatever, other peoples' songs are good.

(Oh, and I forgot to say, please let me know the name of your band if you two get discovered and get famous.... I wanna hear your sounds!! ;-) )

um, I also want to be a famous singer, but since I don't play an instrument, I have a ways to go....
I've written several of my own songs, and if you want to see them (maybe I'll let you use them) just ask me in my column

I've been involved with a lot of bands and musicians. What I've noticed happens when you have two singers in a group is that they split the songs up according to the sound of someoneâ??s voice or they simply split the singing between the two of them. I've also see people splitting a song. One person sings certain parts of a song while the other sings the other parts. You could also write your own stuff that will include two singers. You can slip your original work in here and there among the commercial songs you are performing. I hope some of these suggestions helps your creative juices to flow. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavour.

Namaste!

im assuming you both are girls, so here are some songs with 2 girl singers. = )

"our lips are sealed"-hilary and haylie duff
"4 ever"-the veronicas
"everything im not"-the veronicas
(basically anything by the veronicas, because its 2 girl singers who are awesome!)
"stickwitu"-the pussycat dolls
"my lovin"-en vogue
"cater 2 u"-destinys child
"summer sunshine"-the coors
"i fly"-hayden panettiere

Beauty in the break down (by) the scene Aesthetic
Lyrical lies (by) cute is what we aim for
My heart (by) paramore (with a little with a screamy edge)
Baby just say goodnight (by) the click five

Well that were some,
I'm not sure. I will look for some more, and If I find them I'll post another reply.
I hope these will suit until then.
X3 Hope I helped

Also any underoath song will do, But you have to realise, that one sings like 'normal' and the other has to do allot of screaming (growling). But they do have two vocals in their songs

also- please note, that some of you two has to do 'more' vocals then the other.
