As soon as possible, try to see your doctor. There could be a variety of things such as Strep, a virus, the flu, or, just a normal sore throat. It could also be drainage/sinuses.
cheddar answered Monday February 20 2006, 11:39 am: i know this sounds really really weird, but you have to try it. my mom is a nurse and every time i get sick she makes me do it. it's called 'the lion'. you just stick your tongue out as far as it can possibly go, to the point of you almost gagging, because it increases the blood flow to your throat. that means that it can heal itself faster. also, if your parents will let you, gargle with blackberry brandy. it burns a whole lot and doesn't taste awesome, but it kills the bacteria in your throat and makes it go away faster. it's like.. the better version of gargling with salt water. DancinCutie08 answered Monday February 20 2006, 9:57 am: well if you have a vaporizer (a room mister thing) use it. also they make throat drops which are like cough drops and use a few of them. if you dont haev them use just a hard candy and suck on it instead. also you can try something like tea or a popsicle to soothe your throat [ DancinCutie08's advice column | Ask DancinCutie08 A Question ]
