I want to know why people always talk such trash about mormans. Yea I am morman but that has nothing to do with it. Just because people arnt in a certain religion doesnt mean they have the right to talk trash about it. So my question is why do people do it? and why is it mostly mormans they talk about? Thanks.

Some people who are ignorant view other religions in a diffrent light and sometimes they dont like what they see. its not only morman,islam,buddhism, and other religion are misunderstood and therfore automatically disliked, and made fun of. you just need to ignore comments and views coming from people like that and be proud of who you are. Thats what i do!

you could all try spelling mormon right for starters, especially if it's your religion.
anyway - to be fair, each person has a right to express their own opinion, however wrong it might seem to you, it's just an opinion that opposes yours. Also, it gives you a chance to maybe have a debate with them...

Can you spell mormon correctly? aren't has an "e" in it. A lot of mormon based commentary stems from a lack of knowledge about said religion. Just ignore the ignorance. People are ignorant of Islam and Buddhism too, but you don't hear them complaining.

It's because in the old days (I do not know if this is still the belif today) they believed in having several spouses. People are aganist that and most religions are too. Therefore, they sterotype. My opinon? That is so predjudice. You believe in something different then them- so what? They have different beliefs than the majority of people in this world so they should back of.

i think its mainy because people get annoyed with how mormoms are.. like not the mormoms themselves but the fact that they go door to door and it almost seems like they are trying harash you.. no affence or anything but ive had mormoms come to my house and i know you have to do it with your religion and all but if they see that you are home they stay there ringing the door bell till you answer the door and it kinda gets to me. like some guy was at my house for an hour until he finnally went away. at my school i think there is only 1 morman and no one makes fun of him or trash talks to him but that is my only explination

because people are assholes and if you're not in their religion, then you're not cool, and if you're not cool, they talk about you...in a bad way. Unless you come across one of those people that don't really care. But it's pretty much divided whenever it comes to people like that. 33% don't care 33% are obsessed with it 33% do it because they can and that 1 little bitty percent would be neutral.

I don't trash talk them, but I can only rationalize that there are very, very bad people who are publicized that practice this religion. However, people should know that just because there are some bad people in that religion (just as there is in all the others), it doesn't make the rest of them bad, but people get an impression and stick with it. I think the whole polygamy thing that some of the more radical mormons practice freaks people out, and because it's strange to them, they talk shit because they don't understand and generalize it to apply to all mormons.

I think you need a bit of a wake up call yourself, ms. priss. Everything I said was pure fact. People DO get freaked out about polygamy- whether you like it or not. Ignoring that fact won't make it go away. Same thing with bad people belonging to EVERY religion, yes, little girl, that includes yours. unfortunatley, we live in a world where damn near everyone can find fault with someone else,s lives. whether its religion or skin color or even as shallow as looks. thier deal is that thier prejudiced, and its not nice, nor is it pretty. also when it comes to religion, alot of them have a nasty habit of feeling thiers is the one and only correct path to God.really theres not a whole lot you can to to shut trash talkers up. clearly you can attempt to educate the ignorant about your religion, but thats just one option, you can also ignore them, or stoop to thier level (which with some idiots it might help to speak thier childish language) and talk shit right back. im sorry you have to experience this, but good luck to you.

because its beliefs don't go along with christianity, and most people are christians and so they don't like other religions that contradict their beliefs. it's normal for people to be that way about other religions that they don't belong to. just ignore them. if they say things like that, then maybe they're not such good christians.

ok, sorry, you're right, mormons are christian, but still, their beliefs vary more from the general christian thing than most denominations.
