i just got my period i take a bath soon i know that you have to take your pad off but how does the blood stop coming out if u take a bath or a shower. explain them both to me fast and i will right all 5s if u hurry

The blood is not usually flowing at a rate that is noticeable at all - in a shower, what tiny amounts of blood that did come out would instantly be washed away by the water.
In a tub, the water pressure might actually stop your flow from coming out at the same rate it would if you were out of water. Plus, you will be lying back and that also makes blood flow lighter - which is why you might experience a gush of blood when you sit up for the first time in the morning.

PLEASE WASH DOWN THERE. other wise you will start to have an odd smell to you. But foreal its ok, to take a shower. [ orphans's advice column | Ask orphans A Question ]

It is important to stay clean at this time to avoid any infection. If you are worried about getting blood everywhere drip off alittle in the shower before drying and then use some toilet paper to dry the area with so you don't get anything on the towel. If you do it will be fine--blood does come out in the wash. Relax and Smile!!!!!!! [ purpledragonfly's advice column | Ask purpledragonfly A Question ]
tcklebunni answered Wednesday January 18 2006, 8:09 pm: you should always take your pad off when taking a shower. and it doesn't stop just because you're in the shower!i wish it did. i'd stay in the shower ALL DAY! you just have to cleanse yourself while it's still going on. it's notlike the blood falls out like a waterfall anyway. as soon as you get out the shower put on a pad or stick in a tampon. and you should try tampons. they are so comfy you can't even feel 'em! jesa21 answered Wednesday January 18 2006, 6:03 pm: its not that it litterally stops, your not bleeding as much at one time as you think, after the water washes away whats on the outside you prolly wont see much if any blood on your pad for about an hour after you get out of the tub. it will take a little bit for more to reach the outside of your body, thats the "stop".
