If there was an emergency and you couldn't get to any food, your body would burn that fat to keep you alive. Only people with ridiculously high standards would ever think you were ugly or gross because of it. I'm not sure how old you are, but I think you're a teenager. ALL TEENS HATE THE WAY THEY LOOK. It is just a fact of life. But don't worry. Nobody else is noticing the fat on your stomach. They are too busy wishing they had legs like yours, or something like that. You can cut back on sugary snacks, and that will help make you healthy. But believe me, that bit of fat is not a big deal. Bulimia, however...well let's put it this way, when you throw up the acid will destroy layers of mucus that you need on your espohagus. Your teeth will become yellow, your fingernails gray, and you will always have bad breath. Then people probably will think you look gross, and you will. It's good that you know it isn't healthy. Anyway, you don't have to do sports to exercise. Try lifting weights or walking everyday, and stretching. [ tasuki's advice column | Ask tasuki A Question ]

juice
toast (wheat)
fruits
veggies
cottage cheese

Alin75 answered Sunday January 8 2006, 3:39 pm: There is no exercise whatsoever that can target fat from an area of the body. I have no idea why people keep saying to do crunches or situps or whatever, humans can NOT target fat loss. If you dont believe me, a little research will prove me right.
So for Gods sake dont do crunches all day long unless what you are after is building muscle on the stomach (and even then there is no need to do more than a few sets twice a week or so).
The only way that fat might be lost is if you make your body lose weight generally and wait for it to remove it from that area of the body. Therefore you should train your body overall for best results, not focus on any specific area.
The best form of exercise for fat loss is resitance training (like weights) because it boosts your metabolism and you burn calories around the clock (tones you nicely too). Naturally, a combination of weights and a cardio is even better...
Remember to eat many small meals each day or your metabolism will slow, and drink plenty of water.
Sorry this wasnt the answer you wanted to hear, but please dont waste your time doing target specific exercises, it wont deliver the results you want. Good luck. [ Alin75's advice column | Ask Alin75 A Question ]
TheLoveDoctor answered Sunday January 8 2006, 3:13 pm: i have that same problem. but, i'm planning on starting at a gym. if you can't stay focused get a personal trainer and tell them that you want to be toned in the stomach area and work at it.
if you don't want to spend money you can also do situps or crunches. side crunches also work.
This website has excercises you can do and a weekly plan to keep in shape.
wildNcrazy231 answered Sunday January 8 2006, 2:48 pm: I do sit ups and crunches. Do them when your watching tv or something and also before you go to bed. Start by doing 50 a day then work your way up. Right now I can do like 200 before i go to bed. It might sound obsessive but it really doesn't take me that long and it works. Also get someone in your family to hide the junk food from you. It really helps! and when I get hungry for a snack i eat something healthy like a clementine.
trlblzr4u answered Sunday January 8 2006, 2:48 pm: Suggestions would be to look for excersizes that would concentrate on the area you are not happy with at this time. I did try a quick search on google.com and came up with the following website: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) Why not look on there and see if you might be able to follow any of their suggestions.
