advice
is there a way to change it to be inbetween two of the preset options? such as 1024 by 768 is what i normally use, but i want more. so i moved it up a notch to 1280 by 1024, but that's a little too much. is there a way to get it inbetween, or no? [i'm using a laptop if the counts for anything, which i'm not sure if it does.]
There is no way to set it between the two settings. Because of the way that the screen is set up, the ratio has to be a certain number. In most computers that ratio is 4:3. There may be some number in between that can work, but no one really makes drivers for settings between that one.
I am on dance team at my school. Right now we have a very low amount of money in our account and we can't afford to do something we really wanted to. What are some good ways to raise money?

I'm 17 and my boyfriend is 20. (I'm a girl by the way)We've been together for about 4 1/2 months and I love him so much. I think i'm ready to take the next step with him, and by that I mean sex. I'm afraid that the morning after things will be wierd and akward, and i'm also scared that it will hurt. How much does it hurt when you first have sex? Should I talk to him. Is 4 months to soon to be thinking about sleeping with another person. I'm really confused on what to do here if you can't already tell. Please help!
You are asking a very serious question. I will start by saying if you are ready for it, and have thought about all of what might come of this, then no worries. As for how long is too soon, that all depends on the two people. No one can seriously say it it's too early for something like that for you. You can't worry about him comparing you to others if he's really committed to you. I understand that he's been with a few people, but apparently you seem to believe he's ready to be true to you and only you. Just take the time to think all of this through as far as what might be the consequences.

there's this guy and he's my ex we have been through alot so everything i look at reminds me of him. Fist of all, don't know if he's doing it on purpose but for the most part when guys talk about someone extensively to a girl, usually to make that girl jealous. On the other hand though, if you guys talk about everything all the time, it might not be that way. You have to take it into consideration. You know him best, it's a judgment call. If you have been together for that long or over that amount of time it is something special. Talk to him about it, but just be like so are you happy with our history? Why was it that we've broken up? Stuff like that just to get him talking to him a bit.
Im sorta a shy person when it comes to doing sexual things w/my boyfriend..like i wont make the first move because i dont want to look stupid. Something to think about is how when you start to make out, where do your hands end up on each other. One thing would be like trying to massage each other a little bit. Or when you hug maybe help guide his hands around on your body. I'm not sure how to do it without not making the first move but maybe kind of if you notice him like start moving his hands toward your breasts or butt, just give him a little nudge. You could try to have him get the hint.
16/f. My boyfriend writes music and he's pretty good at it. However, one of his more recent songs was pretty disturbing-- it was about another girl, a girl "see around school". He's never written a song for me before.

Sometimes inspiration comes in many forms. If he's assured you that it doesn't mean anything then why does it bother you? The reason that you might be looking to not be with him is because you might be insecure of your relationship with him yourself. So take a moment for yourself and figure out if you do want to stay in a realationship with him and what it is for you. Trust your feelings, that's all you have and it usually is right.

Of course it is okay. He might be a bit shocked but don't worry about it, and he'll remember you more if you do ask for it first...
i need help w/ this math problem:
Ed has a car needing repair. he has researched repari shops and found that Franks Body Shop charges a flat fee of $350 for any size job. manuels fix-it right shop cahrges a flat fee of $100 plus a rate of $50/hour. At what "repair time" would the two repari shops charge an equal amount? Who sould Ed employ if he know the repair will take 1 hour? who should he employ if the repairs will take 3 hours?
i have to define variables, write a system of equations and graph the system of equations, and solve the system of equations.
i got the following so far:
y=fee, x=cost
frank...... y=$350
Manuel..... y=50(x)+100
i dont know how to graph these or solve them. i know what i have is right cause i had my teacher check it. but now i'm stuck. Plez help. thank you so much!
Graphing isn't all that bad. I'm sure you've seen a graph before but if not, it's basically a grid line with two main parts. the x-axis (the center of the grid line going horizontal) and the y-axis (the center of the grid lines going vertical). So to graph these, you just find the value of each one when y=0, for the frank one, it will be a straight line at the value of 350 because there is no variable other than that. For Manuel you find different values of y when you substitute soemthing for x and those are points on the line. Then you just connect the dots.

Depends on the guy too. Some feel the way you do as well that it is gross. But, guys tend to be more stimulated with visuals, so that is one reason. A second, they might imagine themselves as part of what is going on between the two girls. I also think it is the posibility that they think if a girl does this, maybe they willing to do more with a guy... Just a thought.
I was talking to my guy friend that I have a crush on and I asked him if he'd been gone the previous weekend because I'd called him and left a message with his brother but he never called me back. He asked why I called him I and I told him because my cousin wanted me to bring him on a double date, and he said ok and turned back to his work. he started passing me notes that said stupid stuff on them, and then like 45 minutes later he passed me a note with his cell number and said that he wasn't home very much so if I wanted to get a hold of him to call his cell. Do guys normally arbitrarily give girls their cell numbers, or do you think it had something to do with my reason for calling?
Guys, just like girls can be complicated. But yes some do just arbitrarily give out their number. I mean the fact that you shared why might have something to do with it, but maybe just to make sure when you trying to reach him that you actually get to him or at least leavea a message he will get.

It may not be taht you still like him as much as you recall the moments you two had together and how he made you feel. It is possible that you still like him, but if it's only when you feel lonely it's most likely missing the feeling behind it, and not necessarily him.
i hav a mac, an ibookg4 and i am trying to click on my limewire, but whenever i click on it, it bounces, and then it doesn't go to limewire. has anyone had this problem before? how do i fix it?
Limewire is one of those programs that have many others that come with it. First of all, did you install, uninstall, or download something between the time it was working to now that it's not working? Sometimes some of those thing that you install make changes or block certain type of programs, some of these programs might be required by limewire to continue working. Or if you uninstalled a program that you didn't think you needed, this too may have been a requirement for limewire to work properly. If you truly want to make it work again. I suggest starting with the program from scratch. Try uninstalling it along with anything else it says was only installed with limewire. Restart the computer, a lot of them take this step to make some changes permanent. Now find the latest limewire install program and try re installing it.

Thinking that smoking pot just because is illegal is kind of interseting since you did smoke a cigarette before you were able to "buy" them. Now so much has been debated as to why this substance is illegal and in some places it's not. Now, if she's just smoking it and doesn't have more than about an ounce of it, no worries about going to jail for her, it will get taken away and she'll get a fine. Is she's smoking a lot and has it all the time, chances are then it's a bigger issue and should worry about her and being in jail. This is one of those things that people have to find out for themselves. You can only state your disapointment in them for choising to smoke this substance. There are other "drugs" that are legal that people use to get high. Just thought I'd point that out.
If I delete Internet Explorer 7 [mainly because I think its crap..], and only use Firefox as my main internet browser, is that okay? I was about to uninstall IE yesterday, but I wasn't sure because it said 'Firefox may rely on Internet Explorer' blah blah blah. Will I still be able to uninstall it without any problems?
Unfortunately you do have to have some version of IE on a Windows based machine now, sad I know! But if it is only that you think it's crap and want to use Firefox, then you can set it up as the default browser. BTW, IE doesn't mess with how you connect to the internet, it's just an application that let's you see websites. Just wanted to make sure you understood that as someone else mentioned it in an earlier answer.
okay. i just got an mp3 player. the brand is memorex. the first few days i had it, i could get songs on there really easily. now it won't let me. i know there's room left cuz it says there's room left. like i hit start synch & it says windows media player has encountered a problem while synchronizing the files or something like that. then it tells me to click web help for more help. i clicked that & did everything it told me to & still nothing works. i don't know what to do & i would like to get some more songs on. please help!
Okay, to help you out with your specific problem we need more information. First of all, what version of WMP (Windows Media Player) do you have? The latest one is WMP 11.0 Also so you look at the actual error message. Right click on my computer icon. Go to manage. There look for Event Viewer. There look under applications, that will have the information listed in the error message. I found a few people having a problem at this forum with an answer to one problem, see if that might be it? http://www.moviecodec.com/topics/4768p1.html If you have a version of WMP older than 9.0 I would suggest upgrading that. It's a free download from microsoft.

Now if you stating that correctly, you are saying that each of your mp3 files are 30 MB? I'm not sure if that was a typo or not. Most mp3 files taht I have are between 3 to 5 MB. But part of the reason they are so big is because of the ripped quality, also known as the bitrate. The higher the bitrate the more space it will take or require. So, if you looking for smaller file size songs, when you do a search for them, try looking for files with a bitrate of 128 or around there. I personally use a different program by the name of winmx. I know they do allow for setting a bitrate for each song search. If you would like information on how to set it up, let me know because it is a bit tricky. Good searching to you!
My computer keeps making an annoying sound. It goes kinda like 'click click click click' and when that happens, and when I'm typing, the typing just freezes up and I can't type again unless it stops. It lasts for a few seconds, but it's soo annoying. This started after I downloaded Internet Explorer 7. I've already tried to disable the sounds thing and make it into 'none'. I've tried everything..
Can someone please explain why this is happening, and what I can do to prevent it?
You should try to listen very closely to your computer. If it's when something is being opened or being saved, it might actually be your hard drive. A "clicking" noise is a precaution that your hard drive might be going bad and will soon fail. Which means, the computer will not boot up again. Now is there anything else that you notice about the computer when this noise starts up? Is it always and only when you start IE 7? If it's not only when this starts, good chance it's a background application. Something that still runs but you don't see any windows for it.

I'm sure you were very close friends with them. Some people are taken from us so abrutly that we don't get a chance to truly say goodbye. I'm sure you are part of that group. I would venture a guess that you should take some time and just kind of talk out loud as if you were talking to your friend. It can be quite helpful to do so every now and then. If you think that's a bit too much for you or you think it makes you look crazy try writing out some of your thoughts. Maybe try writting a letter to them? They are stuck on your mind because either you or they can't let go, if you believe in the afterlife. So let those things out, don't keep them inside of you because it's going to end up hurting you more than it has already.
so, around homecoming season at our high school, this girl that lives across the street from me started a bunch of stupid drama with me OVER A HOMECOMING DRESS. so she and her group of five or six girls hated me and my two best friends. about a month ago, they did a bunch of shit to my house [since of course they live just right there] i was out of town at the time. they harassed me and left me rude comments on myspace [yeah, really mature & all]. they are all mostly skanks, literally. so now one of my best friends mentioned above is becoming friends with the leader of the army of skanks and somewhat with another of the girls. it's rediculous and i can't believe it. i'm not anywhere near ready to forgive and forget. she acts like shes friends with them and is nice to them, but tells me she hates them [which i know is obviously a lie].
am i justified to feel this way? i fully believe i am.
You are justified in feeling this way. Once you are ready to move on with things you will be able to do so. For now, I would just do as you are, keeping your distance. If you trully can't trust that one close friend of yours if she's going around and being friends with this girl. I mean I understand that she might be over things but when it comes down to it, "the leader of skanks" might be using your friend if intentional or not. Just take it in stride, because there will always be someone to start drama no matter at what stage you are at in life.

First of all, you should be ready for any consequences if they happen to come before moving forward with your bf and not just because your friends. You won't know until he tells you if he likes it or not. It's only awkward if either of you are nervous about the situation. As for being bad at something, that comes with time. So after you two do more together you will get to know what he likes and he'll get to know what you like. and about being wierd down there, don't worry about that really. Everyone is different all the time.
