I would recommend that you possibly take a babysitting course at one of your local hospitals or a Red Cross Training Course. Contact the hospital for more info. Here, you can learn all the important safety tips and skills for babysitting, especially for babies/infants.

rainbowcherrie answered Monday January 23 2006, 1:07 pm: When I started babysitting, I made some flyers on the computer, printed them out then posted them to houses in our street that I knew had kids in. Just put something like 'I am a responsible *insert age* old girl/boy willing to babysit your children. I am available from *insert hours available* and I charge *insert charge*. You can conact me on *insert number* or you can contact my parents on *insert number* if you would like a reference. (Parents employing new babysitters like this).
You should also ask your parents to reccomend you to any friends they have with children. People are more likely to employ you if they know your parents so that's always a good idea.
You should get a few calls and if you're good then they'll reccomend you.
You should definitely babysit the baby when it's older. You have to remember that when a baby is first born, they want to be with their mother's and it's not a good idea to babysit a very young baby. But once the baby is older then you should definitely talk to it's mother about babysitting. [ rainbowcherrie's advice column | Ask rainbowcherrie A Question ]
taintedLOVEEx answered Monday January 16 2006, 9:24 pm: Cousins are like the best to babysit. Also if you have any neices or nephews. Your parent's friends children? Anyone on your block. You could walk down to their house and ask them if they need a babysitter, simple as that. What I used to do is I would just call someone who has little kids and asked them if they wanted a break while I babysat. [ taintedLOVEEx's advice column | Ask taintedLOVEEx A Question ]
JustAskAlli answered Sunday December 25 2005, 3:23 am: Of course you should help her! Thats a very great idea, i know for sure she would really appreciate it.
As for finding one now, find someone in your neighborhood that you know has kids, offer and be polite and friendly. You'll for sure find some luck then. :)
eeerrriiicccaaa answered Saturday December 24 2005, 5:50 pm: you can make signs or little buisness cards and post them around where you live at places that will let you. for example theres a grocery store by my house and inside theres a bunch of help wanted things on this wall
sorry that was kinda confusing hah
or make signs and put them around your neighbor hood in peoples mailboxes i did that one time and youd be suprised how many people would want help

KiSSxMYxPEARLS answered Saturday December 24 2005, 4:37 pm: Absoloutly. If your cousin is nice enough to let you baby sit then yea you should help her =)
Ask your parent's friend's (their close friends) if you can babysit. Tell them that your really responsible and everything will be okay. Ask your parents first for their permission.
If you have any siblings & you ever have to babysit them, say that you think you are old enough & that you wish to make money off of it.
Ask your parents for help too. They might do something about it. =)
