Yep!! I just did something for my Bat Mitzvah for the holdidays!! All you have to do is contact the hospital and ask them if they know a person who could help you with donations. Ask for a wish-list. Look at the wish list and choose what to buy. Schedule a drop off time and then bring the toys to the hospital and give them to the person who you have been working with. I am in a "Mitzvah Club" and each family donated some toys. You could maybe hang flyers up or put donation boxes in the lobby of elementary schools! This will get you lots of toys!!

i would recomend just going door to door asking for donations or maybe get some sorta fun raiser for a local ice cream place or something to help you out. i would talk to the hospital early to see what they want you to do because sometimes unless you dont do it their way they wont accept it. do you live in pittsburgh? because if you do i would be more than happy to help you

I applaud your generosity and community spirit.

First, you need to speak with whoever is over the children's hospital to make sure that whatever you decide will be okay. There may still be time to do something this year, even if it's on a small scale.

Personally, I think a toy or card drive would be wonderful. Another option is a Christmas dinner for the families. When a child is sick, many times families skip holiday dinners so they can focus on the child instead of all the holiday preparations. You can also do Christmas caroling.

For help, you can contact your local service clubs (Kiwanis, Lions, Rotary, etc). They may be able to offer help with planning and maybe even donations. Sometimes local schools will offer help as well. Local churches are another option.

For a toy drive, once you have the planning part out of the way, try contacting your local stores. A lot of times they will donate items for charities such as this. For the card drive, talk to the principal at your local elementary school. This may be something the children can participate in. For the dinner, visit your local grocery stores. They will often donate food items as well. For caroling, get together a group of friends or speak to whoever is over your church or school choir.

Good luck. I wish you the best with this endeavor to brighten others' lives.

maybe give them a concert or something. like if you know anyone with a really good band or you could get a local one to come play for them. first you need money. (obviouslyy =P) start a fund raiser. maybe have a garage sale auction or sell something at your school. i know at my school they're auctioning off the seniors and whoever gets them they have to like carry their books & all that good stuff. or hold a raffle. if you find something good to raffle at your school or community (things at schools usually work better b/c the people are all like right there) our school is raffling off a cardboard cut-out of our football coach. i know that that's making alot of money. haha

hope i helped =) ♥

I would suggest calling the childrens hospital and asking them specifically what they need or can accept. There still may be time this year to help.
