cokecap_x21 answered Saturday December 17 2005, 11:43 am: either a paradise island theme,or,you could paint your walls a periwinkle blue,or very light blue, get white funiture and a round shaped bed (dont know where to find a round-shaped bed? go to ikea.com,click on where ever you are from,im guessing the U.S,go to beds, but if you cant find the round bed,a sofa-bed if good for a blue room, and if you go to beds >single bed frames>the first one will give you a very cute beach-bed theme!) Oh by the way,if you get a small room,a loft bed [a bunk bed but with out the bottom bed] seems more practical ^.^ lets see...dont like blue? or paradise theme? well, to tell you the truth, blue might make if boring,a light green or even light orange makes it relxing.Accessories, hanging lights and really vintage,or even modern things that focus around the room make it all fit,and beautiful! Lastly,i would find a corner in the room, and make the bed slant out of the corner, (like its pulling you into the room, then get a canopy thing to drape it over) vualaa! i hope i gave you some good ideas ^.^ [ cokecap_x21's advice column | Ask cokecap_x21 A Question ]

Also, wooden carvings and other simple ornaments can help cultivate a calming atmosphere. If you have the opportunity to hang posters and whatnot, go for scenes and inanimate objects - portraits and photos of people can loom and intimidate in the darkness. Also, it'd probably be best to avoid sculptures/figures/whatnot of people. I have a lawn gnome up on my bookshelf, and now and again it gives me a bit of a chill.
hco_babe answered Tuesday December 13 2005, 8:07 am: good colors that are relaxing are blue, green, and purple. a big comfy comforter with plenty of pillows are very relaxing. get some aromatherapy candles to match the color scheme of your room. calming music playing in the backround helps a lot. keep furniture big, but really simple. they have these massage chairs at target that are so comfy and feel really good, i would try out one of those and get it for your new room. ChOcOLoLo answered Tuesday December 13 2005, 4:11 am: hey there! really great colors that could make your room more relaxing are light shades of blue, yellow and cream. While placing the furniture in your room, try not to stuff too many things in a certain corner or near the door, but to space the objects evenly. Also to add more fling to you bedroom, try not to face things so straight, like turning pillows and couches at an angle to make more of a lay-back kind of mood. Hope everything will work out great!

With purple accessories, and green stuff too. Thats all I got, good luck and I hope your room turns out great. [ Docholliday's advice column | Ask Docholliday A Question ]

My god. I really wanted some like furniture for my room from here, but never had the time. I think they have like really cute/laid back chairs, lamps, small couches, etc. You can buy a bean bag chair or whatever they are called lol. And maybe you can paint the colors of your walls. Like, light blue, or light pink. Not something crazy that'll make someone give a migrane. Something that you think looks really relaxed. Like a light color. You can also buy rugs/paint at Wal*Mart i think. Go cheap but cute. You don't want to spend 1000000 dollars on only 1 room. Hope it turns out great
