i.e: waiting to get married before you have sex - That is definitely a learned behavior. If you weren't taught that as a child, you would have sex before you were married.
Belladonna answered Sunday December 11 2005, 7:22 am: Both. Morality is relative. Every single person has their own set of morals, which have been shaped by many things, their upbringing, life experiences, religious beliefs, etc. We are all however born with a sense of right and wrong. If not, then we would all go out murdering people. Even those who murder people know it's wrong to do it, even though they do it anyway. However, for an issue such as premarital sex, your views on this would be learned. No-one is born 'knowing' whether this is right or wrong. People form their own opinions on it as they grow up. sizzlinmandolin answered Sunday December 11 2005, 4:54 am: According to Sigmund Freud there are three things called the Id, the Ego, and the Superego. The Id is the ultimate expression of bad, the Superego is the ultimate expression of good. Things that make us feel good physically are part of the Id, things that make us feel good mentally are part of the Superego. Since we want and need to feel a little of both, the Ego is there. The Ego is a combination of the Id and Superego and where human morals come from. If you want to learn more about it or don't quite understand what I said, just look up Sigmund Freud on the internet. I hope I helped and good luck! [ sizzlinmandolin's advice column | Ask sizzlinmandolin A Question ]

If you are from a background of people who are bigots, alcoholics, promiscuous behavior, etc.
You either think its okay to live and think that way because it was how you were raised, OR, through friends and education, you learn there are other ways of doing things.
So, other than the basic instincts most behavior morally or otherwise is learned along the way.
