Pop-Up Blockers

Question Posted Friday December 9 2005, 1:29 pm

Does anybody know any good programs that I could buy for blocking pop-ups? Does anyone have any that have actually worked and aren't too complicated to use? Thanks.

If you use a real web browser, like mozilla, instead of explorer, you'll never know that pop-ups exist. Mozilla is free, fast, and has a lot more features that IE.

You can get good free pop-up stoppers on line (and you can also buy the more advance version of the same ones), try using either of these sites:-

They also have a lot of other types of software that works really well.

Are you using Windows XP? If you have service pack 2 then even Internet Explorer should have its own pop-up blocker.

Go to Tools > Internet Options > Privacy, and make sure the box next to "Block pop-ups" is checked.

Of course, you can also use other browsers like Mozilla Firefox or Opera, which both come with pop-up blocking.
